Olive Pendersomething (Emma Stone) admits in her opening monologue that she is not necessarily the most popular girl in school, when a little white lie gets out of hand, Olive has an entirely new reputation as tramp - something she uses for 'good'.

This was a very cute movie. Emma Stone is adorable, but it was her family (Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson) that made it a truly endearing movie - they are hilarious. And of course Thomas Haden Church has a fantastic role as the English teacher - someone you would hope your kids would have the benefit of learning from.

I would recommend this to anyone who is in the mood for a good family comedy, and I would certainly watch it again, just for those parents!

Funny enough I saw this a while ago, but I can't even remembered what happened :meh:

One of my best bits was rather early in the movie. Olive has an adopted African American brother and the family discuss a hereditary trait or something. But the young boy pipes up and says that he isn't worried about it, he was adopted, when dad Dill (Stanley Tucci) cries, "Who told you?! How long have you known?" - No seriously, the parents made this movie.

I have to agree with Blinky. The parents made the movie. They were beyond cool/chilled.

This happens to me all the time. It's great. You can watch a movie again and again and still be surprised by the ending :)

The movie is kind of a blur to me as well, for some reason all I remember is the credits :p

This movie was brilliant! Really enjoyed it. We were giggling right from the beginning. There's some really great lines in it. This is one of those productions where it is obvious that the cast & crew really cared about the movie. Even the titles were very well done.

Meaningful Name : not only is Olive an anagram of I Love, Her whole name is an anagram of I Love Pretend Shag.
