Sorry, just want to share my joy. :D

At lunch I finished Unwakening Waters in 9 minutes with my mesmer in a PUG with two hench healers on the first try. And most of the others in the group have probably not done it before, since they did not really seem to know how the mission goes. After major suffering to getting my ele and monk through this mission, it was such a breath of fresh air. My build was pure interrupt and energy steal, so I told the team I would do the dragon if they do the rest. I had the dragon health so low at the first gate that we skipped the second gate.

It is the third last mission in Factions. I find it to be the Thunderhead Keep of factions, but maybe I just have bad luck. The mission consists of two teams of 8, one Luxon and one Kurzicks. The two teams fight the dragon and afflicted together. In each area waves of afflicted keeps on coming until the dragon is below a certain health level.

Some teams can only do limited damage to the dragon (warrior, assasin heavy teams), so get wiped by the waves of afflicted. Also, if one is for example a Kurzick team and no Luxon team join in 45 seconds, the Luxon team is a pure hench team. The dragon spits out things called Corrupted Dragon Scales, which do -10 health degen to all in their group. This often wipe the hench group nearly right away, effectively halving the party. (Sometimes the human team as well.) The dragon often needs multiple interrupts to stop a spell and for the first areas can only be attached with ranged weapons. So, a sad mission overall.

Done right, it is actually a very easy mission. Far all three of my characters that got there so far, once I have configured them for some dragon slaying, it helped a lot. Even for my monk, I took Wastrel's Worry and I think I personally did more than half of the damage to the dragon, between healing the party.

For my ele, I switched to air and kept Thunderclap permanently on the dragon while pounding him with air spells. My mesmer has three interrupts, three energy denial (Energy Surge etc) and Wastrel's Worry.
