News from Blue's News (http://www.bluesnews.com) says:
Half-Life 2: Episode One will begin preloading next week, and will be available to play June 1st. With Episode One, we really feel like we've produced our best single player game to date, and we're excited for people to be able to play it.
As promised yesterday:
Steam News has the announcement that the promised preloads of Half-Life 2: Episode One are now taking place over Steam:
Half-Life 2: Episode One, the first in series of episodic games from Valve, is now available for pre-purchase and pre-load via Steam. Those who pre-order the game before it is made available on June 1st will save 10% off the $19.95 price. For more information, visit www.steampowered.com.

I have to admit I never played Half-Life. It was one of the very few games that gave me heavy motion sickness - after half an hour of playing I felt like throwing up. Happened with vanilla Half-Life and Blue Shift, oddly enough I didn't have the problem with CS. But I felt the same motion sickness come up when I watched the HL2 movies, so I didn't even try...
Weird.
Anyway, I've just pre-ordered my Episode 1. :woot:

mmm... i bet i will be kinda shot by a few people but i really have not seen whats so special about HL2 other than its FOV making me sick... so it aint of no use for me to get Episode 1 since i didnt even finish the first one... :p
