Here are the new rules:

Here is a poll to either keep or toss the spawn rape rule:

I voted to remove the rule. I can just see how this rule is going to be abused by whiners.
Here are some threads discussing the spawn rape rule in particular:

For the lazy buggers:
Spawn Raping
Based on the community's feedback, we have decided to address the issue of spawn raping in a way which will suit the majority of the community, without creating a rigid and uncompetitive rule.
a) Capturable Spawn Points - In the event that one team is pushed back to one remaining outpost, the offensive team is asked that they dont sit back and wait marking spawn spots waiting for the other team to spawn. A capturable spawn point is exactly that and you are asked that (wherever possible) you, at least, make an attempt to capture it. We dont want to see any more attack heli's and APC's marking spawn points, whilst not capturing the flag.
b) Non-Capturable Spawn Points - It is possible (in many maps) to create a situation whereby one team is pushed back to one remaining outpost, which is not capturable. It is in the spirit of the game (in many cases) to wish to destroy the enemy's assets and aircraft/vehicles, however in the interests of fair-gaming (for everyone), we ask that you create an atmosphere whereby it is possible for the defending team to continue to play the game. It is a commander's onus to make an attempt to pull his troops back, so-as to allow the defending team a chance to recouperate. As an individual, you are advised to use your own discretion when moving into an enemy's non-capturable spawn point, keeping in mind that you are in breach of the RoE when you are creating an atmosphere where the defending players have no opportunity to actually PLAY.
We dont want to see any more instances of "spawn and die within 3 seconds". In the event that the player's discretion is deemed unfair, an admin will use his own discretion to rectify the situation. You will be warned once and thereafter, admins may use their own discretion as to kick/bans.
"Camping" non-capturable spawn points is not permitted in any form.

Team Stacking
Switching from one team to another and causing a team imbalance (whether you mean to or not) goes against the spirit of the game and will not be tolerated. Clans members are permitted to play on the same team ("clan stacking"), so long as the above is not breached. Depending on the situation, admins will impose warnings, kicks and/or bans at his own discretion. Players are to use common sense when contemplating team changes.
So this means, that if the teams are unbalanced, and you switch in a gallant attempt to try balance things out a bit, you will get kicked and or banned.
It makes no sense.

If you change from the winning to the losing side, you can't really cause an imbalance (unless you're the only player who is actually earning his keep...)

While I agre with teh spirit of stopping spawn raping, a rule isn't really going to work. EA needs to make changes - No spawning in LOS / invincibility

yeah, kinda like we discussed it in an earlier post... invicible for 5 secs which fades if spawnee fires upon within that limit of time.

EA should just consult with us ... we could save them millions in research and meetings.

i wont even bother to vote, how will the same admins who at times spawn raped with their jets in Gulf of Oman endlessly be able to contain other people?
if there is one enemy flag left i will just sit by the Karkand bridge and wait for them to come... easiest way to cut their tickets and let them have a chance.

If they keep the rule, the servers will become unplayable... and we don't have anywhere else to play. :p

They won't become unplayable ... if someboty types SPAWN RAPER, then - if there's an admin around, he'll investigate, warn the person, and then if need be - kick the person.
Nothing else will happen. And - admins are never around when you need them, and I'm not going to type SPAWN RAPER anymore, I was just doing it for fun, but now that it's an issue - forgetaboutit.
