Hi Folks
I need some help/ advice! please
The past few months I have suddenly been losing connection with the internet. Specifics:
I have a netgear DG834T router
I have it connected via cable
For the 1st three months of use I had no probs at all - nothing has changed technincally on my side since the issue mysteriously started.
Now the little green "i" suddenly disapears for 5 secs, then flashes orange then goes green again. (if I was playing BF2 at the time I lose connection)
Telkom, who have been really helpful and quick to repond (seriously), have checked the line etc and can find nothing wrong. They have swapped line filters, checked for water at the main connection etc.
My phone line quality is fine and does not crackle etc.
These disconnects happen intermittently eg. 3 times in 5 minutes and then no prob for 2 hours.
My next step is to try and find someone who can lend me another router to see if it is the router - is this the next best thing to do? OR//
If you have other suggestions etc please advice.
If this was GW I would have a -60% morale right now!
