Perhaps in the past years my list has grown but here goes what i think is the best for me :

- Dune ( Sci-fi )
- Terminator 2
- Braveheart
- Ghost in the Shell ( Anime )
- Bladerunner
- Gladiator
- Fight Club
- LOTR : Return of the King

The original Dune was bound to be over 5 hours long, producers convinced the director to reduce that length to 3 hours. I wonder when will the uncut version be out if they ever did it.

About Dune, there is a slightly extended version available on DVD, which is about 45 minutes longer than the theatrical version. And actually better. However, David Lynch doesn't approve of it...

My list:

- Lord of the Rings Trilogy
- The Shawshank Redemption
- Once Upon a Time in America
- Dogma (Kevin Smith rules)
- Monty Python's Life of Brian
- Donnie Darko
- Pirates of the Caribbean

Oh, and just for the sake of it, here are my fav TV series (which I have on DVD):

- Jeremiah (the best ever!)
- Angel
- Firefly

uh. (grunts)

I feel so primitive! I have a total grande of about.. wait for it... 6. Yes, Six. No, not Sexy-Sixty-Seventy-Six-and-a-half, Six.

Topic:

Fav: LOTR trilogy
call me a geek, but: the 1st Star Wars Trilogy. Gotta love them Ewoks. Oh, and Wookies. WOOKIEWOOKIEWOOKIE!! If you're ever on with me, and want a laugh, ask me to do my 'star wars battlefront 2, lets pick chewbacca as a hero, or lets take the wookie' noise over VOIP. A number of my friends nearly died laughing.*

My other faves include weird movies like the matrix, equilibrium, Aeon flux (yes, I have seen it :P) etc.

Oh, and ALL MONTY PYTHON. If you haven't seen them, I will NEVER stop tk'ing you. Ever. Unless you don't tell me.

etc.

*disclaimer: None of my friends have ever been anywhere near death or the like etc and I will not actually perform my wookie noise over VOIP. So there. :P

Best thing the Pythons ever did was the Flying Circus. One of these days I am going to order myself the full Flying Circus 14-DVD-set...

Oh, by the way, did any of you watch the LOTR extended DVD versions?

And Star Wars, of course, but only the classic trilogy. The new crap sucks...

FeralBanana

Damn, well I got a few more than six ( :p ) but nowhere near a hundred, I'll have to go count them sometime. I enjoy animation, mostly cause I want those graphics in my PC games!

All time favourites include

Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Shrek
Shrek 2
Monsters Inc
Bugs life
Terminator 2 ( it was the only one that really cut it out of the three)
Sixth Sense
All the Lethal Weapon movies
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Kill Bill Vol 1
Kill Bill Vol 2 (obviously)
EDIT: Almost forgot
Braveheart
Last of the Mohicans
The Patriot
Enemy at the Gate (a great sniper movie its success spawned a whole bunch of wannabes)
Troy
and what was that one called with the skinny rat raced guy who is an assassin but gets lumped with a young girl who wants to be like him. He's a french actor I think. I think it was called The Assassin (Duh) but I'm not sure.

I don't really have "favourites" I like anything that makes you go "No way!" For whatever reason. The usual suspects comes to mind . .

Batman Begins was surprisingly good, smae for Butterfly Effect. I also liked Kingdom of Heaven a lot, after the dismal historical movie failures King Arthur and Alexander. That's stuff I still want to get on DVD, but the next stop is definitely Serenity.

sorry, but I didn't think Ice Age was particularly good.

Me either, oddly enough.

It had its moments, but in terms of the other animated movies out there, it was just 'bleh'.

Probably the best thing about it was the little rat thingy with his acorn that got the crack in the ice going. It made the movie for me. One of those "Life is like that moments"

I give Shrek, and Shrek 2 full points. My other fav is the incredibles. Having recently become a 30 year old corporate dad, I find it really pogniant.

As far as Ice Age goes, I think it's the studio. I didn't find Robots particularly great either.
