BF2142 Veterans Program

The Battlefield 2142 Website (http://www.battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf2142/veteran.aspx) has details on a "veteran's program" whereby Battlefield 2 players can register their player nickname for Battlefield 2142 and receive a couple of perks along the way, including a promotion and an on-screen indicator of your veteran status. Additionally, EA announces the chance to stack your benefits by pre-ordering DICE's shooter sequel:

Order from GameStop or EB Games and receive an instant promotion the first time you log on to Battlefield 2142! You’ll get immediate access to unlocks including the shotgun add-on for the assault rifle, an EMP grenade, or the squad leader beacon!

For the BF2 Veterans who pre-order with GameStop or EB Games, the promotions stack, so they will really be ahead of the game as they hit the rank of Private 1st Class right out of the gate. Keep your eyes peeled for even more exclusive values from our some of our participating pre-sell partners, and remember to enlist early!

The stupid EA thing says that my account doesn't exist. I think... Err, okay, let's sign up (maybe I haven't already).

I go to sign up and it says, error, account already exists. I think.. Um... Okay, let's try see if I just cant remember my password, go to "Forgot your password?". It says "Error - The information you provided was invalid."


Do I have an account or not!?!?! If so, How do I access it!!?

I had the same thing. Couldn't create an account with rainynight65, because EA kept telling me the name was taken. However, trying to login with my BF2 creds didn't work either. So I just used a different nickname. It doesn't have to be the same as your ingame nick at any rate.

cant do that to resever your nick you need to associate it with youe EA acount and your bf2 nick at the mo, so to register like some ones nick you need a new acount on your bf (anyname) and you need a new EA acount.
