Disconnects

Hi guys,

How have your online expierience been these past four days? I can count on at least 1 disconnect every two games. :mad:
Anybody else have this experience?

Wow ! Have been having more than usual, but definitely not that bad !! Maybe one in an evening ... the servers went through a bit of a bad patch last week though ... :(

Only once, kicked for TK'ing. And I only TK'd 4 times. Punished for every single one though. :(.
R U on ADSL Gathu ... erm ... yup you are ... doesn't your ISP disconnect you more often when you get near the end of your cap so they can make sure that you don't cross your cap ? They have to disconnect you to determine your usage. I heard that you can phone them and ask them to stop doing that and then they'll just charge you per MB that you go over your cap with. But that's just hearsay from MyADSL.co.za ...

I stil got 3Gig left on my 10 gig SAOL account. Last month I went the whole 10gig without this problem. I'll check out whether it happens again tonight.

I know definitely that Web Africa disconnects you more frequently as you approach your cap, so that they can keep tabs on your usage. They've included a function in their web interface to disable this.

I know from reading MyADSL that SAOL does this as well, but I think you need to phone them to get them to disable the "dynamic disconnect".

It really pisses me off that the ISPs did not tell their client base about this, and you had to find out by getting really hacked off at the constant disconnects.

I have also been experiencing disconnects on my mweb account, I guess everyones' trying to max out their cap before month-end.

i suppose this is only affecting ADSL users... i feel left out with my ISDN... sigh...

i hate to say this.... but im on telkom, and disconnects are not somthing i ever ever get. ... could it be the one thing in the world they have right ?

I had two last night, and I was playing on the 4mb fiber line. Telkom`s gheiness is infinite

doesnt ADSL have the issue of resetting the IP addy once in a while? perhaps that has to do with some of the disconnects you guys been getting?

Only had one disconnect last night in six games, although the way I was playing no connection at all would have been better:o . Will wait and see what tonight holds.

Maybe I am too nitpicky and expecting too much from my always-on connection

I cant stand disconnects, whenever I see the "there is a problem with your connection" i feel like blady screaming
