SGS Ranked Server is up

We are happy to announce to you the gamers of Southern Africa that SGS is privileged to be the first Battlefield 2142 Ranked Partner in South Africa and from what we have heard the first in Africa. We have been busy in the background for the last month preparing for this day to offer the gamers of Southern Africa the first Battlefield 2142 Ranked servers. Over the last few weeks we have received a large number of queries from retailers as well as gamers regarding our position in hosting Battlefield 2142 Ranked servers. Until now we have kept our plans secret as we did not want to commit to something we couldn't deliver. With the help of Electronic Arts South Africa, Electronic Arts EU, Dice and Telkom SA we have been able to deliver what you the gamers have been requesting. We wish to thank all those involved in assisting us in the long but very rewarding process that has yielded what we feel is a great achievement for South African Online Gaming. We hope you the community will have many an enjoyable hour playing this new awesome game on our servers that Electronic Arts has brought to the online gaming community.

We currently have one server operational and hope to have further servers operational in the next few days. The server is running the lastest v1.01. Please update your clients before trying to join the server. The server details are as follows:

Looked like there were a few crashes on the server we were playing on Brawler. I also got about 10 "your connection to the EA master server has been lost" messages ... :(

I got 6 of those messages in a row, each time after playing for about two minutes. Anybody maybe know why?

Yes, that connection problem message is normal it seems. I have not been actually disconnected from that yet.

I just played for a bit - got a couple of the connection messages - but the lag was so bad eventually that I gave up. It sucks!

That's the server I was playing on that had the bad lag. I've played on one of the others... it was much better - not as much lag.

Yeah - we were playing on the TITAN server - almost everybody's pings were 1023... very odd.

The conquest server is great, no lag.

Yes, it is unfortunate about the all the gliches like disconnects, falling through floors, lag, missing medals etc. If those were not there, it would have been a great game, instead of a good game.

Quite funny to see on the titan server(SGS) me having the bestish ping there, with the locals having 1k+'s
