Game not running smooth :(

howzit.

I have heard lots of peeps say that BF2142 runs better on there setups than BF2. With me this is completely oposite. I dont have a half bad pc (AthlonX2, 79gt, 2gb) and it seems like gameplay is choppy over any res over 1024*768(on high 4x aa). So does that mean you need a R6k Gx2 to play the game decently? that sucks.

or maybe just need driver update?

Take off the FSAA - made a fair framerate difference for me ...

I think that the servers they are using are struggling a bit though - was also experiencing bad gameplay - guys jumping round like my ping was really bad, although it was about 40-odd.

Okay the problem is server side, its kinda like lag but it seems as if its my system. Played last night until 4am and the server was only half full and it played great even at high res. My guess is that the machine holding the bf2142 server is also hosting other servers. Now i suppose they want us to cough up another 20k for a new server

Last night there we peeps with lag between 400 and 1100 !!!!!!! ludicrous !!!
Everyone will suffer.... I noticed some locals with +1s pings .... probably have their connection set at T1 in options and not 256!
