What do you guys think of it?

Which one should I get?

Are there many sa players?

Hey there,
Those in the clan who play GW definitely think it is GREAT!!!
I would suggest you get Prophecies first....
For TONS of info.. check out the wiki...
It will be nice to have you join us in the world of Guild Wars :D

Yup, its an awesome game, immense depth, endless things to be doing AND many ways to be doing it. Easy on your cap aswell.

Well i just love Guild Wars coz first of all its one of those games that dont chow cap (like BF2142 or BF2),And second of all theres soo much things to do u can Alliance battle with friends (Two sides Kurzick and Luxon) *We a kurzick Guild Kurzicks for the win!! :D * U can go on elite mission (take bout 4-5 hours depending on team,Farm green items (Kill boss's in game that drop sometimes very nice green items worth a lot) and soo much more.The graphics are just soo awesome!Yes to my knowledge there are many SA players.

Well Onyx right that Prophecies great for a start but I'd suggest you hold out till this weekend and secure yourself a copy of the Nightfall release.

The learning curve is not huge and the major reason I suggest Nightfall is bcos its where most of the new people will be. The Prophecies and Factions servers are gonna be a little empty if you catch my drift.

Our guild is about 70 odd people of which u can count on 20 being on now and then and bout 7 of them live there hehe.

Anyhow hope to see you in the guild sometime soon :)

I agree with Stool to get Nightfall first. For the next couple of weeks most people will be playing that chapter, before it spreads out again between the chapters. As it spreads out agaon, then you can get the other chapters if you like the game.

As people say, there is stuff to do from a 20 minute quest to a 5 hour elite mission, so you can pick what you want to do. There is so much variaty, that after having played the game for over a year, there is still stuff I have not done.

Ok the cap/bandwidth usage thing, when I started I played it on dailup and I could even run TeamSpeak with it without experiencing any ingame lag.

PS this weekend is a special event.. Halloween :D Where they dress up the towns and have special games and stuff. But it will be only available to Nightfall and Prophecies... not factions and since friday is the release of nightfall i don't think SA will have nightfall till after the weekend. So if u would like to play in the special event then u going to have to get Prophecies instead. Just something to think about. :)

So .. lemme get this right:
There I was .. playing GW .. walking around when I came across this building.
Went inside and it's a shop.
I ordered the next episode there and then went to the beach to chill a bit.
48 hours later my doorbell rang and there was a fedex package for me.
I then went back to the shop and bought a PC and a kewl desk on which to load my purchased game.
I then sat down and played the game when I cam across this building.
Went inside and it's a shop.

Yes, except for the 48 hour bit, that is how it works. :D The one funny bit is that in the good old RS of A (aka over here), it is cheaper to buy the game in a shop with a CD, book and all that stuff, than just to buy the key online.

As far as i understand it, friday is the day it's going up on the shelf. I'm expecting to get my delivery on friday from BT Games

Release date for nwn2 is the 3 november but BT games says it will be here on the 6/7th, so yeah, i'm working with that example.

Hmm, I started with factions and in hindsight might have done differently.

Most of the build information and skill tips assume you have Prophecies, which is a bummer for me. (One skill in particular eludes me :() On the other hand, you will have access to some cool looking new classes in nightfall.
