the other night we were playing fall of berlin , Xeye myself and i think some other geeks..


anyway Xeye and i were being shot at by a sniper or two at square, (we were on one building overlooking they were on another.

asking Xeye for a range to them, i set the asualt rocket nades with ranged explosives and managed to fire a few off.

I didnt kill anyone but it did startle them. thanks Xeye, that was great fun.


This happened when i was the 2nd man in a sniper team on suez canal, overlooknig a flag, a squad of guys dugin and hiding from the sniper opened fire on myself and the sniper i was working with (an asualt player) any way, i got him to read of ranges as he shot at them, setting my nades acordingly (adding 1meter so they explode over head ) i fired them off, i managed to kill 3 of the 4 guys, while they were crouching under cover. the sniper got the 4th.

it was prob one of my fav moments in 2142 so far. i really felt the team work.



so if i'm playing assualt and loaded up with this kit, and start asking for ranegs to targets here is a quick guide:

The range is the number you see in the scope on the bottom when you are zoomed in (not all guns have it)

When some one asks for a range to a target (in this case to set the fuse lengths) take the following into account.

Watch where your crosshair is , that is the range it is measuring, make sure you sight the object the target is hiding behind, and say awht the range is to the box/wall/ect then the nader can adjust for this my adding 1or2 meters


bare in mind that when taking a range if your cross air is not on the a foreground object or on the target exactly, it will give the range at the thing you are pointing at in the distance, this range will cause an over fire, and the nade will do almost nothing.

THE ebst way this tactic works is in groups of 3, a sniper an assualt and a support. you then have AMMO, and a heavy gunner, with a sniper to take those tricky shots, and the 3rd member the assualt to watch your backs, HEAl you and fire off rifle rockets.

The combination of theese three types playing in a squad in which they always move together is Veeeeery fun :p esp if the squad leader has a UAV drone, then this combo of guys is great..


while i am at it because i wanna type if you add an engineer and a random 6th player, you end up with a highly effective INfatry squad that can take out armour (apcs/walkers/buggies/tanks) on the infantry server maps

When the 6 of yoju stick together and follow attack deffend ordewrs (with in radius markers) you will also GEt alloooot of points and the game experiance will be great fun


that went on for a bit longer than i thought it would :p

Playing on Spac3dd's server last night, Fall of Berlin map. I was playing as commander on the PAC side. I had sneaked all the way to their base flag in order to capture it, and in my excitement at having made it so far, I hopped a balcony to run the short space over to their flag, when two enemy run passed me.

"Woah. Damn. Hope they don't see me.. just keep running you two."

One of them spots me, I open fire, but being Support class, my gun doesn't hit the broad side of a barn at 10 paces, so in short order I'm dead.

I see a bum doing the humping hoola over my face. My camera view changes, and I see not one, but two sucky individuals providing me with a bum brigade!

Next thing an explosion enters from stage right and blows them both to smithereens! AWESOME! EAT THAT! WOOHOOO!! :woot: :woot:

Now I can't remember who the teabaggers were, and I have no idea who fired that rocket/grenade... but thank you. That incident has entered my memory banks hall of fame... :D :D

There I was enjoying this dual tea-bagging session with a comrade in arms, Munchies I think it was? TG's face was being accosted by not one but three gonads! When Xeye the frikkin party pooper comes and ruins it!

Best moments so far:

- Got 2 dogtags in one round
- Got 2 infiltrator pins - I'm gonna collect these things

Oh, and last night I was a nick of a second faster than Toxic and blew the holy crap out of him with a tankshell. He was standing right in front of the barrel, all I had to do was click. 15 seconds later however, a FiBber RDXed me :(

I've got me an awesome moment, I probably shouldn't be proud of it but I am :D
Just so you know this was a complete accident:
I was in the titan and a silo nearby had just turned enemy, so I pod launch from the titan to go to the silo, unfortunately my pod landed ontop of a transport in mid-flight :D 5 TK punishes :D
Other than that, I also amazed myself by getting my knife badge by accident (10 kills IAR) No idea how that happened, I spent 3 days trying to get my knife badge in bf2...

i had a good moment (ok more like LANK dodgy) but i seemed to get around 500 career points for getting a veteran pistol badge this arvy on berlin, i was disconnected a few times after each other, i think that may have summing to do with it coz as far as im concerned i dont think you get 500 points for one badge be it vet or not... hey im not complaining now, i got instantly promoted :D

Another good game i had was when i was in a squad with Bass and XEye and while Bass was complaning that Berlin was the worst map i was ranting how good it is, in that round i got 12 awards! i think i got 6 infiltrator pins!(i love you Zeller!) and around 3 combat efficiency pins, got my pistol badge and 2 firearm pins, not quite sure what else i got. in the same game i had a few memorable knife incidents, one being me trying to be the good teamate by trying to save XEyes ass from being knifed the pursuing enemy knifer side steped and i hit XEye square in the face, the enemy then killed me with his knife... much to my amusment and XEyes confusion. Then a little later XEye and Bass were trying to knife Brawler because he had caused them much grief earlier in the game, im not quite sure what happend as it was all so fast, i ran up to a guy crouching, stabbed with knife and died, i looked at the score and saw that me and Brawler had killed each other at the exact same time... then i was accused of stealing Bass' kill :p haha

havnt been able to pull that kind of stunt anytime after tho :(

I do highly suggest that Rainy not just for the cool factor of having the pins, but you can end up getting 3 points per kill if you only get headshots(10 points per infiltrator pin!)

im definitly collecting them, Berlin is one of the best maps for snipers :D

Then proceeded to kill him about 3/4 times in a row when he came hunting me!

yeah i have managed to do that to enemy transports alot its pretty funny.

once i was driving an apc with ID-prisma and a trasport was comming into the flag we were heading for and he podded out and managed to take out about 5 peeps too. so sooo funny, its the APC's other weapon:p

My problem is that I do that alot - but I always end up dieing, and the vehicle I just podded on to just keeps going as if nothing's wrong. :grr:

With my Adsl finally up late yesterday afternoon I spent a little quality time on the servers last night, and in consecutive rounds:....
1) spawned on squad leader and fell from a dizzying height in a pod right onto two team-mates, killing them instantly. We all laughed and laughed and laughed.... Well, I did.
2) same as above, but this time smashed into a friendly transport "chopper" and killed three more teamies. Got punished by 2 of the humourless bastards too.
3) Incensed and in the same round as above, I crashed my transport "chopper" into the main irritant from incident 2 "by chance" just as he was trying to land and cap a flag. He saw me bearing down on him like "Driving Miss Daisy" and veered away, right into my path. This time, though, HE was punished for the TK (by me) in a weird-yet-just display by EA.

UPDATE on podding aircraft.

There was an gunship hounding the enemy titan landing zone, i podded up with an apc... hit him, and the pod fell back down to earth, i directed it at the apc , and luanched the pod again on the second hit i nail the gunship

just thought i would add a moment from last night...

attacking the titan solid 3 consoles down... console 4 is left...

ALberth and some cronies are held up defending the crap out of it, they killed us soo many times anyway i had had enough trying to nade them and their sentry guns and dodge c4 and shield ect...

i smoked the passage and rushed in (i dont think albi was in the coridor at this time tho) i jumped over the 2 sentry guns emptied half a clip in to two peeps each switching to pistol i nailed the third and rushed and knifed the 4th...all in a coridor filled with smoke and bullets... admitadly the med packs lying aruond helped me a bit :p

started reloading pistol and took down a 5th with that clip .... then teamies arived to get the console destroy point..

it was the best fun i've had to-date :p
