Killing Tanks

For those too lazy to actually read it ....
Basically - the tank tread - the actual tread - not the wheels holding the tread - that's the weakest spot on a tank.
2 AT shots to the tread = dead tank.
You can shoot the tread from the front or the back. That's it. You cannot shoot the tread from the side cos it's on the ground [unless the tank is in the air - lol].

This is VERY difficult to do. Usually when you're faced with a tank, your sphincter gets a-quivering, and you just fire at the damn thing. Who cares if it hits the tread? :eek:

Yea - but you also know that it'll take like 6 shots to take it out, and that's just too much ducking and diving and sprinting around to the next corner.

2 well placed shots are well worth it.

What's even kewler is if - as you shoot - you see 3 rockets from teamies going for the same tank. Then it's like - BOOM - YEA BAYBEE !

Okay, now the qustion is, can you hit the 'front track' bit from the side? The bit above the ground . .

Don't think so. Too hard really. It's hard enough hitting the front (or "rear") part of the tracks. ;)

before patch 1.03 was out any tank's cupolla top was the weakest point, a shot could reduce its health below 3/4. But this has been fixed the same way you could shoot down a BH if you hit their landing gear.

best way is having two AT personnel, one distracts tank with a facial shot while the other one sneaks two tread shots.
