Man, i am really tempted to get one, but i only have a normal sony 74cm TV.

just use your lcd instead!

I say go for it Brawler ;)

I'm running mine on a Standard Definition 74cm Samsung Flat Screen CRT and it looks absolutely awesome! Half the time I get shot in Gears it 'cus I'm do busy oggling the details on the guys armor.

And like SSS said, you can get the VGA cable (about R300) and hook it up to a PC monitor.

apparently with the vga cable.. you dvd's will get upscaled!!!!

Yes, VGA does upscale, here is a comparison:

VGA:

HD DVD - 1080p resolution and all others
DVD - Upscaled as high as 1080p resolution and all others
Games - 720p games upscaled to 1080p, also supports native-1080p games in the future

Component:

HD DVD - 1080i resolution maximum, limited by AACS
DVD - Upscaled to 480p maximum, limited by CSS
Games - 720p games upscaled to 1080p, also supports native-1080p games in the future
