BF2142 newbie patch question

So i got the game with the remnants of my Game voucher.

Which is the latest patch to apply? I have downloaded all of them and applied 1.10 straight away and the updater software didnt complain. Was that the right one to do or is there a sequential route with the patches?

EDIT : Ewww... got an unlock... i think i will go for the Assault Shottie & Defrilibator? Or Support EMP & IPS Shield? :confused:

Defib is probably a good choice. Or the grenades global unlock.

what ever you do dont unlock the last unlock of any of them you can use you ingame (field unlocks i think they it) to get them....

that way you can unlock more stuff/

Yes, the Voss is the best general purpose gun in my opinion and it is on the assault defib unlock path. The Voss can often take out snipers and also works well in up close fights and is deadly at middle range. A sniper rifle is obviously better at long range and a shotgun up close, but the Voss fills those roles in a pinch, while working very well at the fairly common middle range. And the defib and healing hub is also a good source of points, to enable more unlocks.

Note, you need four unlocks to get the Voss:

However, you should be able to get that in a couple of hours in the beginning when the ranks are close together.

lambert carbine also a nice gun, not quite such a hack as the voss but also deadly if used properly. + then you will get C4 i think which is always fun :D

It's called RDX Demo Packs now, but the same principle.
I was having loads of fun last night. Used a field upgrade to unlock the Lambert Carbine, and was demo packing and shooting the crap out of peeps on the titan.

i played a single player match to get the feel of the game... a Titan i was in was shot up by a lone soldier... nasty. Kinda gives a false sense of security. :p

Yeah, I ended up with a crap load of pins etc.
I remember getting some or other silver badge and then immediately after that I got promoted to Warrant Officer silver.

Ahh - it was a Titan Defense Excellence badge :p

All I do is stay in the vents and kill all the suckers that drop down. :D
My problem, though, is that I tend to get killed at least twice for every kill I get. :grr:

I guess it depends on whether one is bothered to have a high K/D ratio or just the fun of shooting somebody in an unexpected place. :D
