Voss L-AR Unlock

Had a few rounds with WAJ last night and we concluded that the Voss L-AR just screams to be nerfed in one of the next patches. This weapon is the G36 of Bf2142, only it takes zero skill to use. Together with the Rocket add-on it's a weapon used by most smacktards, as it just dominates at close to medium range. I am by no means a good player, but I checked out the Voss a few times (picked up a kit), and it's enough to aim into the general direction of an opponent and fire a short burst, and the guy drops. There is no way to do that with the standard assault rifles, except if you aim for the head, which I hardly ever get right. With the Voss I dropped a group of 3 guys clustered together in a matter of 1.5 seconds. I really hope EA does something to make this gun a bit less powerful, because it is annoying to constantly get killed by guys playing the Voss, and it brings a rather harsh imbalance to the game.

I think they should rather nerf the sniper rifle. :D

To be honest, I find one often runs out of ammo when going up against more than one guy. Taking out three guys in one go has happened to me, but in general that takes a lot of luck. Kind of the same as the SCARL in BF2. For groups, the support guns are better. But in a one on one battle at middle range, Voss is king, I agree. (I still need to unlock that rocket add on. :( ) But often, those other three guys also have a Voss each, so the power is often in being able to outmaneuver the enemy.

Trust me, the sniper rifles are nerfed enough. Sniping in 2142 is a hectical job, and more difficult than in BF2. You can't cover your back, because every idiot can walk past the APMs, and the swaying of the scope makes precise long-distance shots very hard to pull off (even with the stabilizer unlock it's not too easy). I am not complaining, to me it's great fun, but compared to 2142, sniping in BF2 was a holiday ;)

Yes, I notice I do not get sniped as much, and especially fewer head shots. Especially on the Titan maps, which is why I prefer them.

but seriously ;) the voss is overpowered. And i haev found that even multiple targets are doable if u don't "spray and pray" :)

Here is a free tip with the stablizer scope. If you are like me, and thought the scope works by itself... you wrong. You have to hold down the left shift key. This stabilizes the rifle completely. Pretty much a head shot every time. And you can go for serious range with it. Most shots you will be completely out of visibility range for the would be victim. Sorry if you already knew this, but it isnt obvious. Well for my pea brain anyways.

And also for big score try this simple formula:
Voss + Rocket Launcher + Titan Defense = Uber Score

Thanks for the tip Slappy, but I knew how to use the stabilizer. I guess I just haven't figured out the bullet drop yet :)

Another good scorer is support + resupply + little gun thingy + Titan Defense.

Voss also nice for titan attack to sort out the support guys camping. :D If the Voss gets nerfed, then Titan attack will get nearly impossible.

Balanced equations are for accountants and wimps. Computer people never balance an equation, otherwise they have no excuse when the project is late and over budget. :D

you can get a ub3r 1337 score with a knife titan defense.

Oh, and the Voss is RIDICULOUS.

PS: Anybody remember the clannie they owned us completely in and ONLY used the Voss and the 2nd Squad leader unlock?
