One good thing added into the new patch is that we can see when someone punishes for a TK. Very insightfull. And all the assholes whom in the past have punished me I now regulary see their names up ther with " 5 punishes and 0 forgives" .

Whats even more intersting is the amount of poeple from our clan that punishes EVERY SINGLE TIME. I do not team kill a lot and i dont punish even if the guy is an asshole or even MERC TOOBAD, he seems to have a heftic tracrecord for it.

Now i ask myself, wouldnt it be fun just to go and team kill the enlisted assholes just for fun continuously, so what you only get banned from the server for the rest of the round?????.

HMMM or even a team effort, i think if i'd get spawn raped by my tamies id go nuts.

WAJ, not sure what you are saying...I haven't seen ANY of our clan punish yet, it is not the way I hope we are playing...care to elaborate

I have played with quite a few on the weekend and most do not punish, there are but a few whom makes a point of it. If one feels compelled to punish because it was an deliborate TK, well its up to the individual.
To punish for acidents, or even knowing you might kill a treay with your c4, who cares, its not on purpose, yes to get acess to a vehicle or in a tiff thats diffrent.
Have a laugh and carry on.
I got punished so many time this weekend for TK's that was like really not my fault, not by a WrG, other assholes.
Example, i am testing the new PKM on a few guilty enemy's running towards me, next thing i know some idiot jumps right down in front of me into my fiering solution. BAM he's in pieces. I get punished.
WHY?, assholism or prefrence of choice or just to be an asshole?

Wen last did you purposefully TK'd a guy? I cannot think of once that i did it.

I punished on Sunday [or was it saturday] ... took me ten minutes to get to a point on that island map [with the airport], running towards a jeep ... whammo ... a friendly tank blows my jeep up, then runs over me .... aaarg ... lost me cool and punished.

Hope it wasn't me. Didnt play much this weekend butI remember vaguely running in front of someones fireline I dont think it was you WAJ and getting TK'd definitely did not punish. Its a habitual pgUP for me. I actually have to think before punishing and I could'nt be bothered.

Interesting thing that has happened to me twice now. I enter the game and find that I have initiated a vote for another map. I havent even picked my kit and I'm voting for another map?!?!

Yeah, has happened to me too. Or kick votes - just joined and already placed a kick vote...

WAJKILLER2

LOL, ive done a lot of kick voting by accident. No i havent been punished by any of our own.
I very very rarely punish.
The point that i am trying to make is that even when there is an incedent that you have to punish or loose your cool because of an asshole, why not. The interresting thing is that now that we can see when someone punishes , it points out the typical assholes. And i dont think that anyone from this clan punishes unless there is valid reason for it.

Stoke i rember the insident this weekend, i was in your squad and what that guy did to you was unaceptable, me thinks it was on purpose.

As far as my fellow calnnies are concerned i will not punish even if i were killed on purpose, lol.

Yeah, the automatic vote thing is a known bug (well, known by players, I dunno if EA knows about it tho :p)

Heh, the only time I'll punish a clannie is if the server is unranked and we're mucking around -- like I did to Bambi while we were warming up for the MerC rape. :) He was VERY annoyed by that, lol :D

Do we name and shame? Give the culprit a chance to respond - their PGDwn key might be stuck, be operating under an imperius curse etc . . .

Personally, I'd like to know who does the dirty deeds - but then there's the personal ethics of the person complaining.

WAJKILLER2

I cannot even remember whom it wat, but as i said i do not think it was because of being just rude.

My ethics, hmmm, its determined by the direction of my gun barrel.

Unfortunately I PTK'd Brawler by mistake - I'd got this twitch from repeatedly having to to vote no everytime a twinkie was trying to have someone kicked from the game or to go and play a new map or whatever silliness they seem to get up to.

Worse yet it was sort of my fault that I got trashed. He called me to get in a chopper and I ran into the tail rotor.

TG
20th February 2006, 05:14 PM
Heh, well, if you apologised for PTKing then it shouldn't be a problem.
As I've said in other posts, I've accidentally PTK'd before as well. :p

Well ... Blaster deserved it :p ! It just looked like he was innocently sitting in the chopper waiting, but it was actually part of hiz evil plan to takeover the bar. Erm ... seems I should go home now [news cafe is a hotspot !]

Me too and then I had to think (which hurt btw)

Is it "Do you want to punish the fool?" In which case pgdn = no
OR " Do you want to forgive the fool?" In which case pgup = yes

err

Which is it again?
