Not wanting to create many threads i thought this would be best to spread the news within the gaming world.
1. FEAR Sequel in the works (http://pc.ign.com/articles/690/690296p1.html), as well as an interview (http://pc.ign.com/articles/690/690439p1.html) with a cute Monolith employee on the whole shebang.
"Though Monolith isn't divulging story details just yet -- or even whether the new games will tell one or several stories -- the titles will generally continue the story the mysterious Alma, whose hurt and rage triggered a supernatural crisis. Now that Alma is released into the world, the paranormal forces around her threaten severe consequences."
Outdoor levels anyone?
2. EA to slashes last-gen prices (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2006/02/21/news_6144632.html?part=rss&tag=gs_&subj=6144632) but keeps next-gen prices up.
3. Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords is available for purchase & download (http://totalgaming.stardock.com/games/?id=gc2) for the space strategy afficionados out there.
"Galactic Civilizations II is the sequel to 2003's hit turn-based strategy game of the same name. The player takes on the role of the leader of a space-faring civilization and must guide its expansion in a hostile galaxy. Gamers must balance their economic, technological, diplomatic, cultural, and military power to forge alliances, fight wars, and ultimately dominate the galaxy.
The game is single-player and allows the player to play randomly generated galactic maps or play through a multi-mission campaign that tells the story of an ancient enemy called the Dread Lords."
Read more on the game here. (http://apolyton.net/galciv2/4/145/)
4. Valve confirms HL2:Episode 2, read the story from CVG (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/r/?page=http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php?id=134629), sounds like star wars? :p
"Valve's Robin Walker, designer/engineer on Episode 1, informed us that Episode 2 "has been in development for some time" in an interview that'll be winging its way to you shortly. Although he didn't elaborate further, it sounds as though Episode 2 may appear sooner than we could have hoped. We're definitely keeping trigger fingers crossed on that one, especially as the developer has aimed to offer "between 4 to 6 hours" of gameplay time with Episode 1, according to Walker - shorter, perhaps, than fans might have expected "
Thats all for now folks! :D
