Saw this last night in a movie house with dodgy sound and a myopic projectionist - why can't they get the focus right.
Not a great movie but pretty good for the kids and quite a few laughs for all.
Not being the world's greatest Marvel fan I cannot comment on the accuracy of the story line to that in the original comics.
Stan Lee makes a cameo appearance trying to crash a wedding.

I want to see this flick coz I feel that Fantastic Four is one of the only comic-based movies to come out so far that is even remotely close to the original story line. and being a die hard marvel fan that is very NB!
i'll watch the movie when i get a chance and inform you all as to how close it actually is! peace!

I will watch it on Sunday morning at the Il Grande. As per early previews it seems the Marvel storyline has been respected. But it does look like a good fun flick overall.

Thanks Alb for the ticket ... I enjoyed the movie.
IMHO - this is one of the sequals that is actually better than the first episode. Not something you will expect to change you but good entertainment.

Good new for you Flange - the sequel sticks to the comic books and is extremely well done (They could've done a better job with Galactus's face)
I also agree with Ga5can, the sequel was MUCH better than the original, yet the film is sadly lekker. Awesome entertainment for the Whole Family on a Sunday afternoon, but it fails to break in with the rest of the comic book films.

thats awesome blinker! and the fact that they show Galactus at all rocks! i was worried that the surfer would turn out to be "another scientific experiment/accident thingy"! but im glad they stick close to the comics!

My feeling is that the whole comic book to movie genre has really come into its own...I love them all...I'll admit I wasn't a big fan of the last Spiderman movie but I'm still a sucker for all of them, even the comics I didn't really read as a kid (aka Ghost Rider). Its really great that the original comic book creators are involved directly in the process and not being railroaded like they where in the past.
