Some new screenies available here. (http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/691/691723p1.html)

Cant recall where we had a similar thread, but to be honest these screenies dont look too shabby at all!

Thought the usual joypad aiming combo is a biatch as usual with console games... not that it makes a difference with my shooting anyhow. :p

i got modern combat on the ps2 last night.. even played some online.... geez how horrible is it to use a joypad!!!

couldnt find the grenade launcher attachment on my assault weapon... had no clue what was potting really... but blew quite a few people away

must be quite a limitation to play with a joypad, but at least you KNOW everybody else has the same problem! :D

well... i think it is keyboard and mouse compatible!

it is ONLY keyboard compatible to type names and stuff, but not mouse wise controlloable though... Sony & MS made it clear so that nobody had an edge in the online arena with consoles. ;)

What I don't get is why they were able to put a single player campaign into Modern Combat but not into BF2 (at least that's what the package says).

I was quite dissappointed whe nI saw the PS2 version, but the 360 version looks very sexy!

the X360 has a more solid online element than the PS2, thus i think the X360 will be more popular than Sony's release.

pity we cant join console players to give them a good noob-tubing with our superior mouse skills... :p

That would be awesome. I wonder if they'll make the console versions cross platform capable online.

Hmmm :hmmm: but the extremely patched PC BF2 would would confuse those other versions.

with Windows Vista you will be able to challenge PC users from your X360. Some games will have this built in mind, one that comes to mind is Halo 2 and future shooter/RPG titles.

Huxley and Shadowrun are two games that are specifically targeting cross platform gaming.

BF2 wouldn't cross... from what I've seen in the promo vids there's different toys (snow mobile) and the patching would definately cause issues

well, not BF2 or BF2142... the PC owners would find themselves at a disadvantage simply by the amount of time spent trying to get the game to run. :p

@SSS - during the network settings XBL Test. Do you get a NAT value of OPEN? Just asking coz OPEN is the best setting that allows you to join games online. Try borrowing an unshaped account and placing those settings within the PPPoE tab under network settings, if your router supports PPPoE that is and give it a bash.
