I might be going down to the Asian destinations of Hong Kong, Nagasaki and a few other places in December.
Im thinking of getting an X-Box 360 while Im there coz I heard their dirt cheap compared to the outrageous prices we suffer!
Any thoughts?

Yeah the console is NTSC/J.
So if you don't mind importing games that won't work on it sure. Some PAL games won't work on it. ie: anything EA and a few others...
Check here (http://www.xbox-sky.com/xbox360_regional_compatibility_guide/) for a list of games that will/won't work.
Or if you don't intend on going onto Xbox LIVE (ever) then you can always get it chipped and then play the loacal PAL games that would not work otherwise.
Me, I got a US console (NTSC/U) I just import any games that I would wanna play that are Region locked. From either Take2 (http://www.take2.co.za) or cduniverse (http://www.cduniverse.com)
Also remember if anything does go wrong with it you will be hard pressed for support for it.
Hope this helps :D

Flange, i was in Hong Kong recently, so here is what you can expect:
You're going to walk into the first shop and inquire about the xbox, they are going to give you a price, and your jaw will hit the floor, because it really is cheaper than in SA. this is what you do:
WALK AWAY!
There are 4 million stores in one street that stock the same stuff and they are in competition with each other. All you do is go to the next shop, they'll quote a price. It'll probably be lower than the previous shop, but if it isn't, tell them "No thanks, i can get it cheaper somewhere else."
They'll freak, cause they want the sale, so they'll bring the price down more.
Trust me, they are competent salesmen. They will ask you where you are from and if you Tell them SA, they WILL sell you the right equipment with the right peripherals (like a power cable with the correct plug and perhaps a PAL machine)
As a separate piece of advice to help you haggle, keep this in the back of your mind:
The XBox is a piece of crap - you are there for the PS3, that's the only thing you want, everything else sucks, but ok, it's to expensive, so you'll SETTLE for the Xbox, but you don't really want it - this might help finagle the price even more, because if they shoot a number too high, they know they're going to lose a sale, because you're not really interested.
They key is just to keep shopping around, eventually, if you do your home work you can corner them and make them you biatch, they'll still make their money, but you'll come home with a considerable saving. To give you an example, after spending two days on foot in the metropolis which is Hong Kong, I finally got to a dealer who sold me an iPod video 60GB, a Canon EOS D350 digital Camera, a camera bag, a wide angle lens and 2x1gb memory cards (for said camera) for R8500 - In SA - you can buy only that camera for R8000.
And if you get a chance - arrange with the Hotel to do the Hong Kong Day tour - there is SOOO much to see there, it's AMAZING! You'll love it!

Rus, you don't understand, i really love to shop, i get wild eyes. And the best part about shopping abroad is the fact that you get to haggle.

You'll be able to pick one up when you go to London - just don't know if the price difference will really be that big.
Phenomenal camera!

If for whatever reason you can't pick up a PAL console, check the voltage needed for the power Brick, cause you might just need a stepdown transformer...
At Blinky yeah I'm looking at the D400, but only one day when I'm big.
My S3is will have to do for now :D
