Weird Kick Vote Issue

This has to rank as one of the oddest things. I dont know if it is a bug or what the hell happened.

At about 8:30pm Tuesday the 28th I joined a game on the urban server with Singit. On entering the game on of the first things I noticed was that nrg np had inititated a kick vote against Albereth. I hit the pgdn "No Sir" several times and so did Singit. Howeva on Albereths side it showed the kick vote as being initiated by me :eek: .Punky phoned me and confirmed that it showed that I initated the kick vote, Punky was on the same team as Albereth. I know that Albereth is peeved about this, it apparently happened several times. I had no reason to kick Albereth, in fact I have never initiated a kick vote in my entire BF2 carreer. I was busy helping Singit find her way around Sharqi. I'm not the kind of crap stirrer to do something like this. :angry: I do not know how this happened and I would love to find out. On my screen it showed 'nrg np ' or something to that effect and ' -=TB=- <name> ' I cant remember. Everytime it was someone different on my screen, and everytime I voted no. I could'nt understand what Albereth had done to peeve the other players so much that they were wanting to kick vote him. Then I go to the forum and Albereth wants to know what I was up to and Punky phones and wants to know what Albereth did to me that was so bad that I kept inititating kick votes against him. :confused: I did nothing. I dont know how to prove that I did nothing. I can only say it. Wasn't me as God is my witness. I'm sorry this ruined your evening I know if I was in your shoes it would have ruined mine. It has in any event. :(

I can vouch for this - there has been a couple of times when I've joined the server - and even before the spawn screen has come up I've initiated either a kick vote against some random dude, or a map vote.

Seriously guys, if this happens to you - ie, you're a victim of a kick vote - don't worry about it. Anyway, I've NEVER seen one succeed, so it's no biggie.

Thats almost exactly what happened. Except is wasn't me on the inital vote. It was some other guy. It just kept on and on . I just kept voting no. On the other team, the one Albereth was on it kept showing different peeps initiating the voting and on one occasion it was apparently me. :confused: NOT!

EDIT: The map vote thing has happened to me too. Enter a game and before you have even chosen your kit and squad you have supposedly initiated a vote for another map...

ya i hear if someone initiates a vote, everyone that joins afterwards initaites teh same vote and i too have NEVER EVER EVER EVER seen any kind of vote go through.......oh well once when me and TG where on his server and we changed map

I've seen map votes win - though only when there have been VERY few peeps on the server. ;)

Oh well - just so long as Albereth reads this & sees that all we really want to do is TK him ... not vote him off ;)

Dang, these issues with BF2 get weirder by the day. I have also been shown to start kick votes that I definitely did not start, but this is taking on a new dimension. I only ever actively started a kick vote once, on a guy who was actively pissing off a lot of teamies.

I think that the only was to sort this out is a revenge knifing. I works like this. I have appointed myself the official dispute sorter outter. Bothe Darnit and Albereth must be on on the other team. I will knife them both 4 times each whislt they stand still. This was each part is avenged and I get my knife badge. I believe once again through sheer brilliance I have solved a massive clan issue. Sometimes I even surprise myself.
