On the topic of weird kick votes, I would just generally like to compare our approach to votes.

Kick votes: If I don't know why the guy is being voted, I usually take the time to check the scoreboard. If he has an unusually high negative in team score, he mostly gets the PgUp. If it looks like someone is just trying to take out a personal tiff, I either abstain or press PgDn. Some time ago, right after the banning of the Salt Shakers, some Asault guy was perpetually kickvoted until he left by himself - even though I am not fond of them, I think that is not the way to go. (Note: I did not vote for him to be kicked :) )

Mutiny votes: Also depends. If the commander is not blatantly screwing up or it just looks as if someone wants to be commander rather than the other guy, I abstain or vote no. I did vote yes and even start a mutiny vote once when the commander was a kid of 13 or so, who was on way past his bedtime and annoying everyone with nonsense talk and a very heavy boerewors accent (no offense  ).

Map votes: are the biggest bullsh1t ever in this game. Why not take the UT approach - end of round, map list comes up, everyone picks his fav map, simple majority wins. Instead, you get to choose of you want to play a map someone else picked for you or not, and if you don't know the map rotation by heart (which is difficult with SGS because they keep changing it), you can basically pick between Plague and Cholera. I usually ignore map votes, especially on the Urban Server.

How 'bout you?

i think that voting is pointless but i will still vote for a map i like and mutinies even though the NEVER work, my personal view is that for most of teh vote there arent actually enough people ABLE to vote because they are irritating and i think lots of people put on the opt out of voting thingy so they dont even see the vote.

/me thinks he should put that on... and doesnt know why he didnt in the first place....

Generally the same approach as Rainy. I don't worry much with voting cept to see if I know the guy and then check his score. The approach to clannies being kick voted... well they do automatically get more brownie points... so if a kick vote is in progress against a clannie it is an auto no vote. A REALLY good reason would have to be provided to change that.

Regarding Mutiny votes. I almost always vote no because in just about every map there is always some ass who thinks he can do the job better. Exceptions are when there is one person left alive on your team, then its a good idea that he is the commander so that he can at least get a UAV and use arty - almost never makes a difference tho, only seen it once where 1 guy managed to get a flag with the whole opposing team hunting him.

Reagarding map votes. Dont really bother. Its fun to play different maps, in fact I wish EA would get on with EURO because it would be nice to have maps where everyone didn't know all the shortcuts and sniper hideouts. Currents maps are fun but the surprise factor is gone. I wonders if a server would still be ranked if it ran third party map packs, I would'nt think so. Pity really.

Unless I have a particular grievance against a player, I don't vote, or vote no. Only if they've done something to annoy me, so someone with a loud mouth, spawn camper etc. I won't initiate one, not on purpose at least.

Map voting is a different story, I really don't like some maps, so I will vote, bu they almost never go through.
