Ok, this is going to souind weird, but as a wargeek I have one of the worst frag rate. While I am pretty handy with medic paddles in my hand, put a weapon in my paws and I suck. I know one of the ways to get a better frag rate is to kill more than you die....dud :p
Patience, if you've read this far thanks ;) ....how the heck do I aim better to kill more....I tend to empty an entire mag into someone and he then stands up and KAPOW....I be dead
Help

Discipline yourself to shoot 3 bullets max at the bloke's head.
Also - pay attention to the size of your scope/crosshair ...
notice that when you're moving it's like huge ...
this means that if you shoot now - your shot is going to be inaccurate and basically luck of the draw.
You have to STOP - Wait for the crosshair to shrink - SHOOT 3 bullets max - STOP - shoot again.
Hopefully the bloke you're running into is not already accurate.

Yup - *try* to never fire more than 3-4 bullets at a time (this is VERY difficult in practice, because your finger is convinced that all it really takes is that .. one .. more .. bullet to put your opponent out of his misery :D)
If possible - aim for the head too ...
If using a shotgun, [-]run[/-] walk as close as you can to your opponent while shooting as fast as your finger can click (or in the case of the engineers' shotgun, just hold it down)

My only concern is that you are going to use all the good advice on me

I find that if you aim for the chest with a 3burst shot,2 bullets land in the chest,1 in the head as the recoil causes your crosshair to move up with most guns. This kills the guy instantly with the g36 series guns.
If you have to move around while shooting, practice moving left to right but keeping your crosshair fixed onto a certain object (trees work well).
If shooting far away at a moving target, shoot in front of it in the direction it is moving...not too far in front, use your judgement (s.u.v.a.t equations can be used if you have the time;))
Going into the prone position is imperative...you will not believe how much less you are exposed to the enemy when lying down.
I still hae not mastered these yet,but I am working on them everytime I play and I have been getting better combat scores and improving my k/d ratio since implementing these guidelines.
Here's hoping we can all help Fivel acvhieve his aiming...aims!

Standing, Kneeling:
With one hand, take weapon in your favoured hand.
Lean back a bit so that you can see the target clearly.
Move hips towards target at required pace and once the point is in contact with target - release weapon.
Sitting:
Impossible to aim ... aiming is the target's responsibility.
For safety's sake, wrap weapon in your favoured hand to prevent accidental weapon bend damage.
Upside Down:
This is kewl.
No need to hold weapon.
It kinda aims itself.
The trick is to get the target to the correct elevation and then ... gently does it.
Try not to giggle - it buggers up your aim...
Flash Bang/No time to think:
Grab weapon in one hand and try to feel your way to the target.
Be open to target's head movements ... they usually indicate direction.

Fivel Remember to aim high. It take two hits to the head to take a guy out while several to the body. You may just be aiming to low. I try and aim for just above the between the shoulder line... gives a little room for the rifles recoil to lift.
@ Stoke write a book "Kama Sutra for Battlefield Fanatics". I give the idea freely but will require the chance to take your Porsche out for a spin one day. :D

LOL, unless you use the PKM, I've killed many a soldier by pumping lead into an exposed kneecap.

Quietly and gently squeeze on the trigger, make sure the gun aren’t pointed at a teamie (or me), and swear a lot when firing, curse the bastard, in the case of a non wargeek only, lol. Make sure you have bullets in the gun it helps.

lol useless..
One bit of REAL advice (:p) when shooting snipers: NEVER GO PRONE WHEN SHOOTING FACE TO FACE. Now, from my experience as a sniper, these are by FAR the easiest kills to get... This is because all you can see when he goes prone in front of you is his head, which = EASY HEADSHOT.
SO, go prone when fiririririrng, just not against snipers.

 - useless & Stoke
So how many shots does it take to kill, with a g36/f2000, to the kneecaps and shins . . . ?
I find using the sight while standing usually helps a bit if you're at a moderate distance. But I'm not the one to ask . . . I aim best with a dune buggy, jeep or school bus . . . .
