Dont buy Windows x64!!!

Dont buy windows x64 because it gives u such problems with games:mad: !!Of course it makes your applications faster BUT AT THE COST OF PLAYING GAMES!Most of your applications dont even install and if they do the ONLY HALF WORK!So plz guys dont get it ITS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!

I agree wif StaticS ... we have 2 machines at work running Win 2003 64, and SQL Server 2005 64 ... and nothing 32 bit works properly on these machines. Nothing.
It's quite astounding.
Yup ... we tried all the hidden compatibility switches - we played for like 2 weeks with the things.
It's definately not for general use yet.

I have a mate running BF2 on Win x64, only had problems finding joystick drivers.

But I do agree, stick with 32bit for now for gaming. It's like when there was win98 and NT.

Yup - 32 bit is still the best for compatibily / drivers / apps ... hmm, in fact, just about everything. :D

It's really only if you have a custom 64-bit compiled app that you would want to think about Win64 ...
