If you want to get the most out of the SP, i highly recommend veteran. Oh, and make sure you have extra controllers, you will need them ;)

Just got the Mile High Club to go, but not in a hurry though. Need time to cool off after managing to finish the War Room on vet with enemies impervious to flashbangs & who can headshot you while running and shooting from the hip with the AK47. :p

Some folks hid behind the concrete slabs to the right of your wounded comrade. I hid in the little shed between the ferris wheel and the electric cars and kept tossing the enemy grenades out. :p

Rubbish you don't have to hide you girls. Well not completely you need to find the "right" spot and prep your claymores properly. For me it was behind the dodgems at the back, place the claymores all the way around the back of the ferris wheel to where you are. Eeezy peezy.
Now the mission immediately after that? I cry. I cry every time I turn on my Xbox just at the thought of having to face it.

Funny, I thought full frontal (infront of the big wheel) was the way to go, and each time I died I would have to go back there as there was no time (and no claymores) left to cover another spot.
I quickly figured that sniping every chop roping out a chopper was the only way I was gonna get some breathing space.
I'm currently up to the last objective (I think) on the following mission you're talking about Doob (got to run down to a pick up point in a certain time and I can now call in close air support)

I hid after I ran out of claymores and C4... those buggers in Veteran can shoot from the hip 20 meters on the run and get a headshot before you say "Mama..."
I am glad I only have to do the Mile High Club portion... that can wait. :p

TG - the trick in sp is to constantly tap the left trigger because it automatically lines up near targets, so you do this LT RT LT RT shuffle that should clear must groups.

Stokiepoke it's only partially useful because it doesn't lock on or anything, so it's completely counter productive if the target is moving.

If you grab an LMG it can pierce through some walls and it you're within a degree of two it'll still line up . . .

Slappy I finally made it up to the ferris wheel. Took me a while to get there I'll have you know :p Too many games.
K so now I have run out of C4 and claymores, placed them all in the start, clever hey :grr:
Place I seem to last the longest is proned next to the tree to the right of the noob who is injured. when they start swarming lob a nade and clear some space, gives you plenty time to kill the dog as well ( I use the hand gun for the dog :D )
For the first half of the mission (before choppers) I was at the cars, after the choppers I sit at the tree, Note I am now stuck there too so Don't take me advice too much :p

K, well I got a fool proof strategy, that with a bit of patience actually might work, but what with me lacking the patience part, well...
ok, what you do is to leg it past the bumper cars, through the fence to the buildings on the right, a chopper does a drop on this fence near the cars, so place some C4 there, you can take out an entire load of chopper peeps there. From there on in you need to hide in the little cranny by the building (you'll know it when you see it) and pick off anyone that come around. A couple of grenades should help with the crowds. Now that will keep you alive till your pickup arrives (I get this this part every time) Now the tricky bit, let them take out some of the Ruskies, then leg it past the chopper on the left side, around the tree, pickup Mr. Shotup Sniper dude, and back to your chopper.
Easy in theory. But in practice, I keep getting stuck on ground junk, and then zap...

The best bit of advice i can give is to use Flashbangs!
I placed my C4 in the completely incorrect spots, so no-one was wiped out when i detonated.
I was hiding down the alley way - once my chopper had arrived i threw flashbangs and ran ! I made it to my injured friend on my second try!
I love flashbangs!
SlappY
8th January 2008, 10:39 AM
They are quite cool. Been practising using them in MP... lol.
I notice a new tatic the fellas are using and is quite effective. Throw a grenade then throw a flashbang/stun, being stunned the bloke cant run away from the grenade.

That mission was IMPOSSIBLE! Definetly the most difficult level in the game. It took me about... 3 weeks to do COD4 in veteran. 1 of those weeks was trying to get past that level! :mindblowing:
