After finally finding some time to thoroughly test it, I have fallen madly in love with the new sniper rifle. Not that I would take it to bed with me :D , but that thing rocks the house!!! So in the future you will see

Tell you what, ill take the SVD or M24 and will still own you with a sniper rifle.
Sniping is an art, learn the better stunts with sniping and youl own. Ask yourself, have you ever played a round as sniper and came out as no 1 at the end of the round, i have after doing some reading up on sniping in bf2.

Well, at the end of the day the L96A1 is just a reskinned M24. It's advantages are that it reloads slightly faster and sounds cooler ;) Other than that, the M24 should be up to par with it. If I have to, I will also play with the SVD or the China gun, but I just prefer the unlocks :snipe:

As a self confessed lazy bum I have tried all the sniper gunz and the L96A1 is the bomb even though it can't drop a chopper like the Barret.

The reading up part on snipers - I think that there is an article on the total bf2 site. The most important thing to realise is that the bullet does drop. Thank goodness there is no wind. It takes a bit of time to get the feel for just how much to aim above the target. But watch - you can see the impact point as a puff of dust.

only thing is i need to use the standard or get the L96A1 cause after every shot with the M95 gun gets cocked and you loose you scope for about 5 sec

Hold down the fire button after firing (don't release) and the gun will remain zoomed.
