Saw this last night and it was awesome. "basically your boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back movie. BUT

It is a musical done to songs from the Beatles. And the names of the characters? Jude, Lucy, Maxwell and Prudence.

The lead actors are mostly noobs but they can sing really well - especially Sadie. My favourite song was 'I want to hold your hand' done by the Vietnamese girl who plays Prudence. In the cast, in small roles, are Eddie Izzard (Mystic Kite), Bono (The Walrus), and Joe Cocker. Joe plays 3 peeps.

The LSD trip was a little too weird but i suppose it is meant to be :)

It is set in the 60's so there is the whole Viet Nam war thing going on.

Age restriction is 10 and it is on at the art houses. Not giving a money back gurantee on this one but if you enjoy the Beatles music you should like this film. Also a few music puns litter the movie.

Not really - sometimes yes. See, I think with a few drinks I can out sing the Beatles but these peeps were really good (except for Bono who is just over rated).

You'll all know some, if not all, of the songs.

And yes you'll do the:

I am the eggman
You are the eggmen
I am the walrus
Koo koo katchoo

Okay - to get a bit deep about the movie. The main guy (Jude) leaves Liverpool to look for his father. So he leaves poverty and hardship for a promise of something better. Lucy and Max leave their lives of piviledge to also look for a promise of something better - even though is means living in a commune in New York.

I really think this is a movie for Blinky - others too, but Blinky esp.
