I installed Guild Wars onto my notebook, and then copied my active gw.dat and gw.exe from my main pc.
When I started GW on the notebook, it had all my account info etc already, so it seems that Guild Wars keeps that info inside the dat file. Something worth remembering if you give someone a copy of your gw.dat.

Only your username is stored in the gw.dat file and that only if you ticked "Remember my Address" on the login screen, so I do not think it is a big concern. Your password is never stored.

Anyone know how to move a character from one account to another?

I do not think that is possible. You will have to delete the character on the first account, then wait for the lock on the name to be released and then recreate on the second acount. (I hope it is still a low level character.)
