Hey guys, so a few guys thought my songs i posted were ok enough for them to enjoy, so I thought i'd share a couple more which have always been close to me... do not pay too much attention to the movies, since the songs aren't very commercial, the videos lack budget and are often fan based.

So without further lag, in no apparent order:

Jack's Mannequin - The mixed tape (it may come across as an angry song at first, but give it a listen... it's def. one of my best)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kwt3fTfDlCg

The Eels - Not Ready Yet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBFK-87SLdg

Raemonn - Supergirl (I cant believe they had this guy as the opening act for Nelly Retardo, it shouldve been her opening for him)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZ4OvE1y3IU

Slut - It was Easier (first time i heard this song was when i saw them live in germany at a weekend fare)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbbyVwBCKME

Jack's Mannequin - Dark Blue (The lead singer just recently overcame leukemia sp*)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDScNjxlScE

Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah (a real moving song)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqZ4cbt-w5Y

Kent - Den döda vinkeln
(I thought i'd throw this one in, seeing as i've always liked Kent's music and quite a few of you may recognize this song of his even though it's in Swedish)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spr5GvHh_0U

Weezer - Island in the Sun (just a feel good song that I've always loved, almost like 500miles is to old people)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qy0fmjxijk

Jack's Mannequin - Kill the messenger

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz2g3EGXYlk

The Shins - New Slang (recently discovered but as its quoted in garden state "this song will change your life" )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M11Kr1-q-pA

The Eels - Your Lucky day in Hell (this one is a must)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI46qA390qk

Patrick Park - Life is a dream (one of those songs that make you think)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tt4REiGB_-w

these are just a few of the songs i currently enjoy and I hope you do too. Again, its not for everyone.

Hallelujah is a great song. Depending on the context it can be very depressing, but also very uplifting.

Supergirl was also a cool song. Can't say I know much of the rest...

Nah, you werent really supposed to recognize any of those. That's kind of the point. It would be silly if we just pasted our top 10 songs and they were all the same, now wouldnt it ?

Have a listen to 1 or 5 of them when you're bored. as i said ... the music vids arent much to go by.

Yeh, they had a faster version of it playing on shrek. Coincidentally, about 2 or 3 of The Eels' songs were also in Shrek. In fact 1/3rd of all their songs have probably made it onto movie soundtracks, yet nobody really knows em. I missed their tour in berlin by a weekend :(

oooh melikes those Jack's Mannequin songs, never heard them before!
I'm also a big fan of The Eels and Weezer, they're awsum!
I actually prefer the original Leonard Cohen version of Hallelulah, just sounds better with his deeper voice (to me).

I'm glad you dig it WingNut... the cool thing about them is theyre flippen good and not over commercialized. Almost noone in SA knows about them. ergo no killing the song on the radio.

Leonard cohen's does sound a bit better, i'll admit... i just heard this version first. Same with Thomas Newman's version of "Somewhere over the rainbow"

Try listen to "Holiday from Real" by jack's mannequin on youtube somewhere, its also not bad.
