Hoss

I have found that happy music makes me angry (If I hear another christmas carol.....

senorblinky
11th January 2008, 10:48 AM
HAHAHAHA, no, angry music is for when you're angry.
Sad music is for when you are sad.
House music is for when you're driving on the highway
Metal and industrial is for driving in the suburbs and past schools
Rock music is pretty much good for anytime
alternative is good for sexytime
Instrumental is good for elevators or a lounge and the new spanish themed club (rodrigo Y Gabriela - AWESOME!)
Theme songs are good for when you're drunk at a party, along with EVERYONE else, and you want to feel a bit nostalgic
Opera & other classical is good for sundays with the parents

But i can never seem to find any good use for the backstreet boys, or other rancid, wannabe-panty-dropping, no-instrument, male groups.
i even think calling them MALE groups is a stretch...

TG
12th January 2008, 11:07 AM

senorblinky

Its sort of a running joke since all three hanson brothers looked like a bunch of chicks with their long hair and whatnot.

It's wrong because it's not music, i think it would be fair to call it synchronised whining.

Was wondering if someone was gonna catch that. ;)

Well, my sister watches it every sunday night at 7pm on the series channel.
She's been taping it for a year now too... i think we have 7 season of that carp stocked up somewhere...

Hoss
14th January 2008, 09:46 AM
Taping 90210? Man talk about split personality!
Is this the same sister that would beat the crap out of you (remember previous threads about a rebelious/agro sister story)?

senorblinky

Yes, well, it's a gray area, see, she could take me, it just depends on how badly i anger her, then she pounces, but she's pretty docile most of the time.
Anyhoozer, it was a family event, see, well, mother/daughter activity, they started watching the first season together a year or two ago, when it was rebroadcasted, it was some dry TV time, so they needed something. they got into it and other shows started picking up, so they started taping it and so on and so forth.

i know... i know...
I'm gonna tape over all of those videos eventually... don't worry.

Hey, how about we setup a ftp for MP3s and only upload music on the wishlist. So if you want something, put it on the wishlist and check back everynow and then. Not too sure about the logistics though. And of-course, it will have to be very private.

senorblinky
14th January 2008, 12:21 PM
Private indeed, as it's a bit illegal, isn't it?

Let's just relabel it;

Hey guys
I've ripped all my music that i bought legitimately, so that i may listen to it on my iPod.
Will someone please keep a copy of my legitimate music, just in case my CDs get stolen or my hard drive crashes.
Your function is to act as bank safety deposit box - so you can keep the music on your system, and you may listen to it when you're alone, but you can't write a CD of my music, as reproduction of an album is illegal.
Also, we are verbally agreeing that i trust you to keep my wares safe. if you feel that you need to outsource it to a third party group, to ensure the safety of my wares, please feel free to do so.

Now that's nice and labeled!

Voicy

All songs listened to in the privacy of your own home are for educational purposes only.

senorblinky
14th January 2008, 12:48 PM
And if it's indeed for educational purposes, any and all equipment used to listen to these "recordings" are regarded as tax deductible.

As far as I remember, in SA music is only "Pirated" if sold for a profit.
