Solution 2:
1. Go to Start>Run and type in regedit
2. Navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc]
3. If, in this key, your problem is that you only have "x9392" as the value (others have a long line of characters representing their encrypted key that follows x9392, if that's your problem you can actually circumvent EA's top notch encryption by pasting or typing your CD key immediately after x9392 with no spaces or hyphens (example: x9392BLAHBLAHBLAHCDKEY) and this should fix your problem.

Thanks Sarcasmo and Thoob (Planet Battlefield Forums).

This also occurs if you try to play BF2 v1.03 (might still apply for v1.12) on a Windows User account other than the one you installed it on. NOTE: There is no fix for this yet.
1.12 note: This might still apply.

Okay, the reinstall didnt work, but this did for future record.
