I have noticed that when sniping over long distances if you aim a little ahead of a running guy you tend to hit him quite often. Does anyone know if BF2 has realistic bullet speeds? So over a long distance you have to aim ahead? or is it just the lag?

In CSS you just aim where the guy is and you hit him.

Forgive my n00bness for I are new and stuff :D

I know there is bullet drop in BF2. Especially for snipers and tank shells. I do not know about bullet speeds, but I suspect they have some form of that as well, as you have seen.

There is - there's a video clip somewhere that demonstrates it.
I think on a site called bf2secrets or something similar (bf2underground?)

There is definitely bullet drop for sniper rifles. But that's got little to do with aiming ahead of a running guy. If you aim for the guy straight, you won't hit him because by the time the bullet gets there, he's some place else already. So you have to compensate for movement.

happy to fill you in there, TG

The website you're looking for is "http://www.secretsofbattlefield.com/"

Btw, I suggest all in the clan check it out as it has some pretty sweet tips and so on... I tried some of the map things and OMW they're awesome... try the one in kharkhand by the lowest MEC spawn... tis teh funneez... especially when they can NEVER realise you're there...

Its really cool, i tried the one at karkand by getting on the roof next to hotel closet to the amrecan spawn point. Where everyone runs through and toss grenades. I had a mission getting a vodnic there but one on the roof, man i did about ten kills before a stray nade got me.
