I don't think we need a CoD4 private just yet. Our tactics are pretty straight forward.

Only tactic I could think to add to that is, stick together, when we spread thin it's easier to be picked off.

Same time don't be on top of each other in case of nades!

According to Janrik, from RIP, all of their members are available except one. They are going to rotate guys so everyone gets a chance to play!! So i reckon from their side they are sorted.

We got thumped 4 nothing.

We had to bring in a merc as Grey's line died a horrible death and Skari helped out fill a gap as well for doobi.

Thanks again skari, even if we had to turn you around once in a while to point in the right direction :D

Got some kills so it's all good!

Think we actually need to start playing this together more often so we can learn each others skills and know how to play together.

Was good games last night. After running around to find substitutes for Greydout (ADSL Problems) & Doobi (Memory problems) we got down to some shooting. Spawnninja and Askari took their places.

Unfortunately RIP were the better team on the night, we lost all the matches. However, we did not embaress ourselves - in just about every game it was neck and neck till around the halfway point. In some matches we were ahead past the halfway mark and lost it at the end, mostly due to their superior use of the air strike and helicopter.

Not a bad effort for our first match together, and for Askari, his first outing in Hardcore mode!! Defintly thrown into the deep end!! :)

Ahem... let me break down my analysis of the battle.
#1: Harcore matches are kuk! Not cause they are difficult, but cause they promote camping.
#2: Those fellas beat us on knowledge of the maps, etc. They knew their stuff. This was very evident in backlot, 2 fellas marking the windows outside, 1 fella in the corridor marking the outside, on fella on point on the extreme left to chtch any flanker, and the remainder to bait us. We fell for it hook line and sinker, every time. And they never left their posts.
#3: Grenades, again, they knew where to throw and when.

I must say I was very impressed with them, and had a lot of fun. And thanks to Askari and Mr. Ninja for standing in.

We need to get together on some maps and not even play, just scope them out for vantage points and come up with some strategies. I am sure we can start closing that gap then.

Oh.. and next time... we are playing marines.

I reckon we do what they do get in the lead, then just camp a nice spot the whole game. It was nice to hear we had some good communication going in the team as well goon on ya all ;)

Jupman and I were talking about having a game at least once a week with the team and hone them skills.

Oh please, I think I ran in there about 10 times myself. Really stupid.
I tried to flank but like I say they had the flanks covered by a single guy with a vantage point. The only way to have gotten through would have been to flank with about 4 peeps.

Also one other thing we need to do give give our landmarks meaningful names. I dont know how many times I was saying "They coming up on the left by the building" and thinking to myself, god I dont even understand what I am saying, how they going to. On the left is pretty meaningless when you facing the other direction.

We should prolly determine direction from the polarity of the map. I.E.: Fix the minimap to non rotational. That would help a lot.
"They flanking on the east side by Building A" is a lot more specific in my mind.

K, so we settled then. Thursday @ 9 we meet weekly. Start a private match all on the same team and do some scouting time (just the WrG's). Then test the theories with a little match or something.

I reckon we just keep the Thursday standing arrangement. If we keep juggling schedules every week it will be a nightmare to coordinate. It is not to say we cant have additional adhoc meetups during the week. Thursday thing is not a hard and fast obligation, just more of a "There will be a gathering on Thursday".

But since this Thursday seems to be valentines day (what a con) and it is our first time, I dont see the harm in moving it just this once.

How does Wednesday sound?
