...all you metal-head, goth, whatever, moshing freaks might:

http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=27378619

I found that the only way I can really get into the moshing thing is if I'm totally off my nut, which starts at about my 12th beer.

The first time I actually went to one of these gigs, some dude kept running into me & I couldn't understand what his problem was. Anyway, the third time he did it I head-butted him & he collapsed on the dance floor. Then my best buddy, who was in one of the bands told me what it was all about & I felt so bad.

Nobody moshed with me again, that night.:D

Pleb. Go back to listening to Britney Spears ;) :D :p

EDIT: huh? That's a pretty mellow retro roots rock funk thing they've got going, far from metal!?!? They're pretty cool the album should be out soon.

I think you have completely missed the point and obviously very very left out when we talking about metal but that link you put on is NOT METAL and will leave some metal heads scratching there heads. :hurl: It's like saying Era is rave to put it into a context you would understand.

I don't care what you call it, bra, none of it really appeals to me. I do realize, however, that not all of us can have impeccable taste in music (like I do), but stumbling across this band just made me think of the WrG's & some of the music you guys listen to - don't say I don't ever do anything for you.

I was listening to the mosh pit brigade (and finding the only way I could actually stomach most of it was in a complete & utter state of inebriation) while most of you were young whipper-snappers wiping the snot on the sleeves of your shirts.

Me, personally, I don't care for the music they make today. Britney Spears was good to look at & that was it (operative word being "was").

That video would be cool, SirFortie, if only it wasn't for the music.

My whole point was: I thought of you monkeys.:D

Nay Sunny, I think ye is betwixt the edges of reason - I didn't give it a name, cos I don't know WTF it is -

"...all you metal-head, goth, whatever, moshing freaks might..."

You will notice I didn't give it a specific genre, as I am ignorant to things & will remain blissfully so for the rest of my life, I pray.:D

Thanks dude. :sharp:
Just to set one thing straight tho..youz get metal-heads,goths,emo's, screamo's and head-bangers ect.. All might listen to same or similar music, but each keeps to its "own kind".
Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit fall under "headbangers"
Goths and emo's and screamo's just feels sorry for them-selfs :gno:
Metal-heads are the beer and Jack tar guzzling mainiacs and stage divers ;)... and do get on well with the "head-banger".Kinda like metal-head in training i guess

All this is and was just MY observation... :D

Very funny, Smints....

Although I can say I wouldn't mind being old Stevie - he's a cultural icon amongst all those Afrikaans meisies that can cook & clean & look good to boot. I wouldn't really care what people thought of me, I'm sure he gets more propositions on tour than most of us get in our lifetimes.

I don't mind a couple of the Linkin Park tunes, SirFortie. They have some soul. I just can't stand it when muso's feel the need to scream on top of really bad music. No accounting for taste & I suppose what I think of today's music is what my parents thought of my music.

I grew up loving Depeche Mode, The Waterboys, The Cure & all that. Then when I hit the rave scene in the UK it became about anything to lift my spirits & "move my body".

At the end of it, I like all genres of music, but you get good & bad in them all. I really love music & if it's good I'll listen. If it's bad I'll just tell my buddy politely that it's not bad & hope he never feels the urge to play it again.

I like good lyrics - what does Evanescence fall under - I'd marry her tomorrow. Depeche Mode is still going strong after almost 30 years in the industry - they've all got degrees in music, but I have heard them called "Depress Mode".

If you guys have a song that you think is really good for its genre please feel free to post a link - I'm always open to exploring new avenues, but it's obviously it's hard for me to find the good stuff.

I joke, SirForties, that video you posted could grow on me. I don't know.:D

Excellent, Sir40....

Although I am not a big fan of screaming metal (that is what it is?)....the compilation itself, was awesome.

Anybody here heard of "The Anti-Nowhere League?"
