Um well, yeah. :hangshead:
I now have a PS3.
I'm mainly aiming to use it for the Blu-Ray capabilities, but I must say I'm getting more and more impressed the more I use it - and I haven't even tried gaming yet.

lol... Bold move TG. You may add me but I am not really online until I get my ADSL back. You should try the DiVx capabilities for *cough* *cough* movies. It works great and thats mostly for what I use it. ;)
Did you get the 40GB model or did you find a 60GB unit?

Naw, I got the 40gb model. Mainly for Blu-ray.. and I've tested the divx... it ROCKS. MUCH better than Xbox IMHO.
My bluetooth media remote suddenly stopped working. Grr. I'm thinking the supplied batteries are dud. Need to go buy some new ones. (And this is only a short time after setting the damn thing up.)
I'm busy writing a longish post that I'm gonna stick on MyADSL regarding my impressions etc. Prolly incite a flame war. :p

The PS3 suffers from a minor DiVx limitation of not being able to play >2GB files but very seldom you see a DiVx file bigger than 1GB unless its HD.
Let me know what you think of BR movies overall, I was only impressed by Casino Royale and sound in movies. Thus far I can say from my opinion that upscaled DVDs vs BR movies are closely tied.

totally of topic but figured id share it none the less
quick way to check if your remotes are still working is too enable the camera function on your camera phone and then point the remote into the camera whilst pushing various buttons. The transmitted IR light will appear bright white.... if its working at all that is

Kewl - I remember this. But I don't think it's gonna help me see a bluetooth signal. :D

argh sorry im still waking up, didnt realise i read both bluetooth and blueray
bluetooth remote hmmm, kinda odd and annoying if u ask me... prefer the IR line of sight jobbies. plus bluetooth being RF sucks lots more juice so you'll probably find it needing batteries more often than the avg remote

If I could afford a PS3 it'd probably end up being curtains or carpets :(
