Soem noob questions
1. OK so, if I have an academy in one village, does it's unit upgrades also count to units produced in my other village? Or must I build another academy and upgrade there as well?
2. To build a Great Barracks you need a lvl 20 Barracks, if I have a lvl 20 barracks be in my original village can I build the great barracks in the second village, or would I need to build a 2nd barracks there and upgrade it to lvl 20first?
3. Do you require a embassy in your 2nd, 3rd, etc villages if you already have one in your 1st village and belong to an alliance? If so must each village join the alliance?

1 - Each village exists on it's own and is managed on it's own, and gets it's own benefits, the only thing that can be relocated to another village is a hero.
2 - Each village exists on it's own.
3 - Okay, you got me on the embassy one. One embassy per player.

After you have joined the alliance, you can delete the embassy with a level 10 main building to make space for something else. You only need an embassy if you want to change alliance, which you can build again at that point. You will stay a member of the alliance without an embassy.

You can also have an embassy in more than 1 village

Build up your main building to level 10. Then when you click on it, there is an option to demolish a building, one level at a time.
@Sheep: It would be a serious waste to have more than one embassy.

Yes, you do get some culture points, so only delete it if you need the space for something else.

So do multiple villages mean multiple village idiots?
I would like to audition for that role, unless you unanimously awarded it to Punky, which i would completely understand.

It's not too clear on the Build Map on the travian FAQ site, but it looks like you need the embassy to build a Palace, Stonemason, and a Town Hall.
If you want to build any of those, you're going to need an embassy.

Yes, You need an embassy to build a palace. Once you have a palace, I do not think you need the embassy to build the Stonemason. I doubt if you need an embassy to build a town hall.

immaterial
ur village by then is so small that the embassy is not taking up space
so once u got ur stonemason, palace and townhall started u simply demolich the lvl1 embassy :)
