Dude, wheres my VOIP?

Ok so my headset/VOIP was working fine in BF2. The only problem is im such a horribly useless player that when I go to push the b button to talk to squad I get killed.

So the other day when I saw a workaround on these forums, whereby you edit the audiocon thingymajig I was overjoyed. Yayyy voice activated microphone aught to spare me a few deaths!

So I went to change the 1 back to a 0 in the audiocon jobby and now my mic still doesnt work. Nada, zip, fokolie. Whe I go to audio setup ingame main menu my options for VOIP are all greyed out.

You cannot setup VOIP when you've connected already to a server.
1.) Do the VOIP config thing again.
2.) Start BF2
3.) Select your account after vids finished and login
4.) Go direct to options (do not pass begin!!)
5.) Adjust the VOIP threshold... should go little higher or else VOIP activates everytime you breath, hit the keyboard, kick the dog etc....... but not to high that you wake up the neighbours with your shouting each time you try get a message to your squad
6.) Then go select server, connect and fire away (or chat up bacgirl... whatever guy)
