Howzit peepsole!
On the 20th of April I am going to Belgium for four months straight! - by myself :bitenails:
I just wanted to inform you guys about it so you don't accuse me of going AWOL
Which you will most probably still do :D if I know anything about the geeks... So I am still dedicated on getting in to the War Geeks I will simply be a few thousand kilometers away :D
No kneed to worry about me though... I have many relatives there and stuff...
TG this might not seem to be in any means linked to gaming but it is linked to me, who is a dedicated gamer and I just don't wanna be frowned upon when I am gone! :D
Thanks for understanding peeps :D

Sorry, but I think this is an extremely lame thing to do. You were invited to represent your country and then you did this. They tried their best to make you welcome and then you told them all that BS. I hope you grow up some day.

Alrighty....
A bit much dude. I thought for a moment that gus was being lame and had no sense of humour, but then I read what you said.
I don't think there will be any SA tourists from THAT class.

Yes, I have told my fair share of "We keep elephants in the back garden" type stories while overseas. But I have always made sure to then explain that it is just a joke and what the real situation is.
And the chopped up chicken type stories I would never even dream of telling. They go beyond bad taste jokes in my opinion. And insulting people who tried to make one feel welcome, even if they cannot speak perfect English, is just not OK. :(

6th June 2008, 05:00 PM
Yeah Matt, i think you should return and tell them that you made a joke, be it in bad taste. It's the right thing to do.
Matt
6th June 2008, 06:42 PM
I did tell them, right after, I just edited the running away and screaming bit, and I didnt say all of the eating things, just the elephants, rhinoes, one or two of the eatings, and the funny languages wore real, but it was a joke I told them afterwords, I over exajerrated my story to try and make it funny, sorry, I go delete now, sorry again....
Oh, and I told them the real goings ons, and that SA is a beutiful country, and tehy all laughed at the end, after the shock.
Sorry for lying, again
