I have started playing GW and am lev 10 W/M, I still feel like a noob tho coz I saw a pic of thw whole world the other day and realized how much more there is.

Anywayz, the help I need:

1. I am looking to join up with fellow WrG's but don't know the best way.
a) When I view guild members online I don't know how to get hold of them.
b) Many of you'z are far out already...Is there anyone still in the piken sqaure area?
c) I am also quite poor in GW so if anyone wants to chuck some armour or gp this way just let me know :)

2. I haven't hooked up onto skype or anything like that - if I did how would I connect to fellow WrG's?

If you want to talk to a specific person, then in the guild window (you get by pressing G), click on the little icon to the left of the name and select Whisper. You can then type a message directed at that person. To talk to everybody in the guild that is online, just select the Guild tab in the message interface on the botton left and type away. The text will show in green when you are chatting to the whole guild.

There are people all over the place. Some have also created new characters recently, so are in early areas like you. Others are also still fairly new to the game. There is a good chance you will find somebody around Piken.

Armor is linked to a character, so others cannot give you armor. The best way to make gold is to make sure you pick up everything that drops for you and sell it to the merchant. (And salvage some for armor crafting material.)

You can look up the contact names of other BF2 clan members on the skype etc. contact details thread in the clan members only area of the forum.

Listen to GKM, he is probably the most super helpful guy in the clan. Personally I have been a little involved in Oblivion of late, but if you catch me, gimme a shout. Will gladly drop everything to come help out.

It also helps if you're on XFire - I use that for voice in GW.

Thanks for the nice words Slappy.

I am also working on finishing Oblivion before the end of next week. I have made it to Arch-Mage, so now need to work on the main story line.

Hmm.. it could be firewall - If you open XFire's main screen, click on the Files tab, and then scroll to the bottom of the info window:

Depending on your firewall type, it may not work. -- Sometimes XFire gets its knickers in a knot and it picks it up incorrectly. Just shutdown the thing, and restart it. I find it's a bit finicky.

Otherwise - Try team speak (See the threads in the GW forum)

Umm... Excuse my ignoranus... but what is CrossFire

Its the rendition of SLI from ATI's perspective... taking two of their PCI-E cards and combining them into a single processing unit for games that support that feature.

Umm... I think I meant to say XFire

I thought that's what you meant :D

It's sort of a chat/game monitor tool.

You can see what your "friends" are playing, and chat to them, even in-game.

It pops up a message box within your game. Pretty cool.
