Character Slots Offered (20 April 2006)
We are happy to announce that you will be able purchase additional character slots for your Guild Wars account beginning this summer for $9.99 U.S. (or equivalent). Each new slot will enable you to add a new character to your account with full access to all of the content your current characters enjoy. We'll have more details to share soon!

Feral: Where do you get new accounts for $5?

I know a couple of guys (in South Africa) who have two accounts (Pios also for example has more than one) to be able to play all six characters. People have been asking for the ability to buy extra character slots since the game came out, since two accounts is a pain with storage and various other limits. And when people heard that adding factions to their existing account will only add two slots instead of four, there was a minor rebelion, so I thing GW did this to keep that crowd happy as well. I think the hard core players would consider it nothing to pay $10 for each extra slot. It is still less than paying for WoW for another month.

Ag man! I've never played gw in my life and only seen it once! I was just making a joke about things like that where it seems to be such a good deal but yeah...

I am seriously thinking of getting both accounts up to 9 chars each.

That would mean i can have one of each class plus a slot for PVP.
But then again at 4.50 or so its not like its going to hurt me too badly anyways. considering its the price of 2 beers.

I guess I will just not go out one weekend and there i have all the slots i need for the next couple of months, However having said that the 1mill gold limit needs to be upped a little for this to be propper as well as storage space for the equipment i got. as it is i use one char purely to carry crap.

Then again.

Not many of us do this. so i guess its a mute point.
