For those fans like blinky and me

I only found out today there is a new 24 episode on the way. A 2 hour special filmed here in south africa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_Redemption. It launches in under 2 weeks time :)

Filmed on location in Cape Town, South Africa, and Los Angeles, 24: REDEMPTION stars Emmy Award winner Kiefer Sutherland along with new cast members Cherry Jones, Robert Carlyle, Gil Bellows and Academy Award winner Jon Voight.

After sacrificing everything for his country, Jack Bauer (Sutherland) is wanted by the U.S. government and now stands to lose the only thing he has left: his freedom. Working as a missionary in Africa, Bauer is called upon to stop a ruthless warlord from drafting innocent children into his murderous militia. First, Bauer must confront his own torturous past and face an impossible decision that will change his life forever. A decision that will set the stage and raise the stakes for Season Seven, which debuts in January 2009.

let me hear a :woot: :woot:

You ghave your :woot: :woot: sir!!
If it wasn't for the writers strike we would've had this much sooner (then again Kiefer did get arrested for drunk driving in that time, so we can't JUST blame the writers :D )

Thanks Stoollie!

Redemption is basically a filler to reintroduce old characters and introduce some new ones for upcoming season of 24. It was done beacause of the long gap between the last season and the new season starting soon.

I'm almost always excited when someone sets movies / series here but disappointed when I see them because they show it like Americans see it. There is more than one country in Africa idiots. He's probably gonna find primitive bush people to mission at within shouting distance from Cape Town. In Alias they filmed one episode in Cape Town, and the footage consisted of one shot of the V&A water front and the inside of an accounting firm who kept their servers in a warehouse. If you want to steal data there's a football park sized server room under most big buildings of any phone company in the country. But nooooooooooooooo we had to go set it in a dam dusty old barn with state of the art laser alarm system technology. Hmmm?

So I'm not really looking forwards to this. Maybe once you've seen it you'll post if my fears have come true for 24 as it did for Alias.

dude what are you smoking?

the redemption movie took place in africa. the series however revolves around a dictator in singala and is actually mostly shot in america.

why?
24 has always been about jack saving the americans and that is still how it goes..... still saving americans on american soil.

Julle loss... But i have season 1 through 6 electronically, should you ever find yourself jonesing to watch a truly epic action series, that builds suspense worthy of generating an ulcer (trust me, i still have my season 4 ulcer right here)

Think about it this way: The Unit, but not 5 guys, just the one... because with Jack Bauer, you just don't need the other 4...

Julle vergeet altwee dat Snakedoctor ook in 24 gespeel het.

Ek skiem nog steeds The Unit is baie meer realisties en dus kiefer as 24.

Has anyone even been to a Dros? I do not even know where one is in JHB?

The Dros used to be AWESOME, when there was just the one in Stellenbosch and the one in Hermanus.

Now i find that place more disgusting than a hillbrow brothel, everything just got cheap and mass produced.

Well the Spur to Dros ratio here is now 4 to 0

So I guess yes.
