I am not talking new games here, but I think everyone has some games that they have had for a while, started once or even a couple of times but never finished them...
Top of my list is 'Omikron: The Nomad Soul'. From the makers of Fahrenheit and quite similar at a glance. I never managed to get past the first few hours though...
'System Shock 2' is also a candidate. I have never gotten past the first mission...
'Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos' is another one. Must have started that one about three times, but again, never got to the end, although I got quite far in this one...
And last not least, the first Gabriel Knight adventure. I played and finished the other two, but not this one. I read the book though, so I know what happens ;)

I never finished the Jupiter Incident. Just traded it in at BTGames. Frustration factor was too high...

Hmmm, Q4 is entirely not my kind of games. Neither is Doom 3. Played the demo of both, my nerves are too weak for that ;)

Last game I finished properly was Far Cry - that was scary in some places. Didn't do Doom3 at all - too scary... Sorry, what can I say, I'm a wimp.
Call of Duty United Offensive I finished. Still battling to get going with COD2, so that's a work in progress, but now with BF2, I don't really have the time to spend on that, so it will probably go unfinished.
I get frustrated with games, when I have to keep doing the levels over and over. There were a couple of levels on Far Cry, that came pretty close to making me give the damn thing up.
Other games: Need for Speed Underground (finished), Need for Speed Most Wanted (10%), and Toca 3 (haven't started).
That's it.

Oh yeah. And nowadays they do that so the game seems a bit longer, because otherwise you would be finished in 5 hours... And of course to keep those hardcore gamers interested - the kind of people who buy a game and trade it in the next day (no kidding! The guy at BTGames told me about that when I said there were some rather new games in the preplayed section...)
When a game frustrates me too much, I either rip out the cheats (SP only of course) or kick it into the bin. Gaming should be entertaining and relaxing, not stressful. Guess that is why I have a knack for point&click adventures and games of the GW kind... ;)

I can see I'm going to end up getting sucked into this GW stuff. I buckle easily under peer pressure.
Never been one for the fantasy kind of game though...
I've also ended up getting crib sheets on how to do certain levels when I get stuck.
I can quite believe that people do finish games off in a sitting. I have a friend who does that. He's into the Need for Speed kind of stuff, and it usually takes him a Fri night, and Sat to finish off one of those games. He's also finished COD2 in a weekend. BF2 frustrates him, as there are peeps that are better than him. He's used to only playing against the computer, and getting the better of it every time.
Maybe that's where people get the hacking. They are used to beating the "machine", that when they meet a human that can play better than them, they get all upset, and go out of their way, to make sure they come out on top...
