I'd love to, I've got the demo and it's awesome, I just don't have the budget for it :(

Well...

Contentwise, the game is rather typical Tom Clancy. US against Russia with the Euros in between. Rah Rah Rah. Not that much to write home about. The gameplay reminds me a lot of World in Conflict, which is however absolutely not a bad thing. It's not RTS, more RTT - real-time tactics. You get a handful of units to control in any game. There are a few game modes which should make it interesting for multiplayer. However, what makes the game shine is the voice controly interface. It just works brilliantly - you don't need the controller for anything other than adjusting your camera every now and then, everything else can be done through voice commands. That adds an element to the game that hasn't been there before - more in the middle of it than on top of it.

I'd have to say the gamers biggest problem is exactly as Rainy put it - while the game is actually brilliant, it comes across to a large degree as "Just another Tom Clancy Game"

The story and units are just a bit ordinary. "Oh look WW3. Again." The story is exactly the same as Frontlines, Red Alert (add generic US versus EU versus RU/China end of world story here)

They work and the balance is great, but in Halo you want to call it "a warthog" or in gears its a "Lancer". In endwar it'd be car and gun.

Thanks for the nice input guys

I'll look out for it in the bargain/pre-played bin once the christmas/holiday rush is over :)

Alternatively you can get it from Shopto, Amazon or Game UK for < £20 :o

I'm probably going to order it, and Far Cry 2 for the same price...
