Left 4 Dead - Infected Achievs

If anyone is keen to get these achievs done, Let me know. I tried to get the infected achievs with 2 controllers and it was a bit of a mission!!!

I reckon we need about 5 peeps.....

4 survivors.
1 infected.

Shouldn't take too long....reply to the thread if you are keen!!

We could get the tank killer cheve this way as well.
Could do it with 4 but it's a little more difficult as the tank would fight back then :p

The random spawning of the tank makes that achiev quite difficult.

I need to get the non healing achiev and Witch head shot. Might just round you and WeakAngl to do those in a campaign with 1 AI guy!

Just 1 thing regarding the 5000 infected score achieve.... what if 4 human survivors vs 1 human infected as a boomer... vomits on all 4, but they don't defend... just let the horde kill 'em. Should get lots of XP that way, right?

That is correct. Short games but correct.
But we like short games, best bet for that is, once vomited on the 4 survivors split a little to allow enough horde to surround them.

The fastest way I found to get this was at the last level on the No Mercy Hospital you use your 2nd controller as the Infected and spawn in a room along the first corridor outside the safe house.

Once your Guest account goes out with a medikit plus the 3 AI friends park your character JUST by the edge of the door were you spawned at. This way the AI wont shoot you while you slash the Guest account character. Slash until 10 life and let the AI heal you 3 times ( each medikit ). On the fourth time heal your own Guest account.

The only thing to watch out for is the horde might splinter the group if they attack and might reposition the AI and get to shoot you. Rinse and repeat and 5k infected damage done in less than 40 minutes. :)

Jupman, I reckon we can take a stab at it. Although before hand I reckon we sit down and list what we want and get a clear plan together on how we get them.

The only achiev we all need is the 5000 damage. The other two i can get in SP eventually. they will be easier doing with 3 mates during the campaign though.

An intresting one to be tried with at least 2 people.

Stomach Upset 20
All Survivors complete a campaign without being vomited on.

Nothing Special 30
Survive a campaign with no Survivors taking damage from Special Infected.

Only have to worry about a witch, but then we can go for:
Do Not Disturb 20
Sneak past all Witches in a campaign without disturbing one.
Same time...

What says you?
70 GS, 3 unlocks? (2 playthroughs though)

Although we must test the 3rd player as splitscreen option and see if that would work then, only 1 playthrough.

After trying for ages to kill the witch with a single shot i finally did it last night!!! Also managed to finish a campaign with no friendly fire casualties.

Now i need to finish a campaign without being healed! Turns out it's quite difficult to kill zombies and tanks and special infected while avoiding your teammates who are running at you with a medi kit in their hands!!!

I still have some story lines to klap in that game.
So if you keen to do one I have not done, I can join ya and have one less healer around.

Also remember that puling your medpack out stops the AI from using theirs on you :D (oh the healing cheve does not count pills AFAIK)

I tried that... it didnt work.... I got mine after running away from the AI at the harbour when he wanted to heal me right at the end... had to cap the bugger. :D

Who's keen to try get some more L4D cheves?
Basically take 2 peeps one plays as infected, other as a survivor. Then the infected guy just does no damage to the okes and we can work towards these cheves then?

(This is tricky as the tank will eventually be AI controlled, although if we fast enough the person playing tank can just get to the survivors and get shot)

80 GS per a player playthrough.

This wont work with multiplayer lobbies. It has to be as the human player(s) vs AI only. AI cannot have human players sadly. :(

I cant see myself getting anymore of those infected achievs...they are difficult and need a few people.

I would love to get a campaign or 4 done on Expert....but that looks VERY difficult from the first couple of tries i managed!!

Your best bet on Expert is doing it with the AI... Humans tend to... err.. panic and run. :p
