Player List - Prophecies / Factions:

Hi there all,

I would ask that we add our names to the list as to know who is available to help in what expansion. As you know I am pretty active but seems that even though we are a guild there are very few times we actually play as a guild.

The past weekend I for one had to be content in playing with henchmen through MOST of the factions campaign. Also i did play a bit with some random PUG's, but to be honest I do prefer to play with guild members.

Now I know you are all in very diferant places in the game. I for one dont mind jumping back to help anyone as most of the active players here will agree. There are times that no-one even bothers to answer guild chat when people are saying hi ect ect.

I feel this is extremely bad form.

Heck I know you may be busy at the time but still a "Hey ya" is all it takes as a reply to a greeting.

Maybe we should become more friendly as a guild and start to have propper manners as to greet each other when greeted. As some one once said it costs ytou nothing to greet.

While I generally agree, I think it is a bit premature to judge on the guild when it comes to Factions. I don't know how many hours you get to play every day, but for me it's 2, 3 hours max at night. Now the head start was last Thursday, the game itself was released on Friday. I only got my copy today. Furthermore this was a very long weekend, last Thursday being a public holiday too, so a lot of people went away.

Let's generally not complicate things too much. I didn't much notice the lack of greeting, as usually there is only 3 or 4 people around when I am on.

Yeah, I believe other Guilds are quite strict like that. Doing quests without inviting a guild member first will get you kicked. They clsify them as follows, Members, NPC's and Randoms.... can you believe it... Randoms!

I got an idea that might work (bit of a hack but whatever)

Cant we create a running poll (but you must be allowed to vote multiple times nullfying your previous one)
Results will be:
One the Y axis we can have the city/camp name (in game specific order)
On the X axis we can have the member names

Once a week or so we can log in and place out new vote for where we are.
People wanting help can then find char's in a similar position in the game, or see where they can offer help.
Also will make a nice histogram of the Clan progress in the game.

Idea:

I think it is a good idea to always attempt to help guild member to do stuff.
Heck I have done the first 5 or so missions more times than I care to count. But I am still up for it. In addition to this I feel we need to set a guild night out night at some point.

This idea is we try get as many as posible members online and try do 2 missions for the night, I know the later missions are quite hard and there we may stick to one mission a night.

But I feel this is a good idea to foster some guild spirit.
Seeing as we kinda lack in that department.
Now what I am proposing is not a forced play this or get out thing, Quite the oposite infact.

We need to try get all the players up to a decent enough level of playing. I know that this may be hard at times, But it is doable.

I do appriciate that all of us have lives outside the games. But we need to play together as a guild or there is not a whole lot of point in it.

Following Pios' rant. I have newbie questions (that could prolly be answered if I read the manual again). In chat if I click on @guild I only comm with guild members right? Is there a way to turn other peeps off? All the spam concerning second hand swordsalesmen and 'runners' sometimes makes it difficult to catch the 'Hellooo' from fellow clannies. (erm Guildies? ) If I am in a quest and I reply to text I see in the chat area do the other see it or do I have to be in a town? Cause I have relpied then since you seem to get less spam and I did'nt get a reply.

Darnit: press the ~ key ingame. That's the chat history. You can uncheck the checkboxes for the channels you don't want to read. Be careful though, if you happen to post in one of those channels, you won't receive your own messages. On missions, only the Team, Guild and Whisper channels are of use. Team goes to your party, Guild goes to the guild members who are online, Whisper goes to a specific person. IF you whisper to someone, it doesnt matter which server or district he is on, same for the Guild channel. To form a party however, peeps must be in the same district.

Luckily those chatrooms are only annoying in towns and outposts. Most of the ingame time you will spend on quests/missions/farming anyway...
