Strange thing with LCD screen

So i turn on my pc and notice my screen is a bit brighter than normal, so i use the on screen controls and try to lower it a bit, its always been set on 100% cause its just a dark screen, well anything below 100% now gives a flicker like i'm looking at it on video and its a crt, but its a lot brighter now, so i dimmed my gfx cards settings but there is still a slight flicker. I guess its borked but in an odd way. Should be able to take a video of it

ya, it even does it when unplugged from the vga source and just displaying the logo

actually.. its just at 2 years and some months so i got like 4 months warrant left.
And i have a bulls party weekend away next week so i might as well take it in on friday

today it arrives back on my door step.

but plug it in, and its "stuck" on the ACER logo screen, pc picks it up but it doesnt show a picture.

smack it around a bit and then it started to work, but my brightness adjustment doesnt do to much, at 0% i can see plenty and at 100% its hardly any brighter
