Here are the highlights of the conference that just ended:


2006 release, no price announced

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii Edition available on launch day alongside separate GameCube edition

New Mario game announced

Built-in speaker in Wii controller for depth of sound effects

Built-in force feedback in Wii controller

Wii will remain in standby mode constantly unless forcibly turned off. In standby mode it can download new game content and remain constantly connected to the internet (standby mode uses less power than miniature light bulb)

Excite Truck
Fire Emblem
Metroid Prime: Corruption
Pilotwings
Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Swing Golf Pangea
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Wii Edition

27 Wii titles playable at E3 tomorrow; more on video screens

Big Brain Academy
Diddy Kong Racing
Elite Beat Agents
Final Fantasy III w/ improved graphics
Mario Hoops 3 on 3
Mario vs. DK: March of the Minis
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
Starfox DS
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam w/ real-time in-game wi-fi voice chat
Yoshi's Island 2

Seems like Wii is going to be a nice 2nd next-gen console to own! :D

I'm bummed they didn't announce pricing or availability :(

Maybe they're waiting for MS to finish up, just incase they were going to drop the price of the 360? Or I'm just dreaming :p

MS will only drop the price of the X360 in November to counter the PS3's launch. Thats as per MS press reports prior to E3.

As for more Wii, enjoy these high-res pic (http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/706/706203p1.html) of Wii and its controllers! :D

Have you checked out any of the Movies yet?

I'm busy pulling the Red Steel movies. While not comparable to the Halo 3 video is doesn't look bad at all. There's some pretty good effects and what looks like HDR lighting.

the whole idea of the Wii games is their control mechanism it seems... having more control over a game will definetly put you into the "zone" of good fun!
