Its out and according to this article (http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/quake_4_dual-core_performance/) there is a HECK of a difference for that game on both Intel and AMD 64 bit platforms.
Margins of up to 66% have been recorded and there is a patch out for Call of Duty 2 which also takes dual core CPU's into consideration.
Could it be that finally SMP support is going to materialize in games to give us some REAL benefits and not PR k@k?
