I forgot to add that in reality the actual MOOOOOOve is going to take something like 5 minutes. What will take awhile is for DNS to propogate.
Though with me moving my other websites, the new server was up pretty chop chop.
Mmm. Steak.

So is there a reasonable possibility that we will be cut off from the WrG world for 24 to 48 hours?

Yes.

Though in reality I have never seen propagation take longer than 12 hours, and those were extreme cases.

You dont really know how DNS works do you?
If you had a bookmark pointing to the vhost on the IP then it wouldnt work but DNS points the registered name to an IP address.

So Boet,
Mebbe just drop the TTL on the domain. Then no more waiting.
Just a thought.....

The TTL on the domain is extremely low already. Unfortunately I can't do a damned thing about ISPs that cache the lookups and ignore the TTL.
